Is it possible to double major in civil engineering and mathematics? If so, how difficult and time consuming would it be? Can you complete both degrees in 4 years??

See: [Double majors and double degrees](http://cas.lehigh.edu/casweb/default.aspx?id=115)

Thanks StitchInTime!

Do you know if you can teach high school math with a degree in civil engineering and a minor in math?

Different states have [different certifications requirements](http://education.uky.edu/AcadServ/content/50-states-certification-requirements), at least for public school teachers. Private, might be another matter.

Also, look at [Teach for America](http://www.teachforamerica.org/admissions/faqs/certification/) and its [alternative certificates](http://www.teachforamerica.org/the-corps-experience/your-teaching-assignment/certification/).
