I have applied for admission into UVA’s PhD program in civil engineering (transportation engineering concentration). On the first of February,I came to know that my application is on hold. Apparently, this means that none of the faculty are immediately interested in offering me a funded position. If one of their preferred candidates declines the offer, I might be considered. I also know that I am the only candidate on hold.
What are my chances of getting an admission?
