Class of 2011 from Nepal...lets discuss here

I don know abt maoist leaders but some crazy maiost guys are goin nuts now-a-days. They r destorying modified moterbikes on the street

Even tho the peace agreement has been signed yesterday and everyone is celebrating today…" a public holiday" eh?? But, the situation still remains unclear. The Maoist leaders must have agreed with the Nepal Government on certain points but, what about the uneducated, lower posts comrades…they are already used to stealing and creating chaos…what about them? Will they just sit there and watch listening to their leaders or will they continue to do what they have been used to doing for so many years?
Has this situation really come to an end? Yesterday’s declaration did mark the day to be a historical one? But, is it?
Guess, we need to just wait for sometime and see what the outcome will be?

its just another case of ‘consolation’ for hardstruck nepalese people…although i am not that optimistic about this thing…everyone’s a power monger…and it will be interesting to keep a close eye on the government activies after the interim government comprising of maoist leaders is formed…that will be their real test and it will really test their competance in mainstream poliitcs…fighting in the jungle is one thing…figthing ‘politically’ is something completely different…

Yup…everyone is a power monger here. I am waiting to see what’ll happen during the elections…if it happens. There has been lot of campaigning going on these days…from both sides actually…trying to win the hearts of ppl. We sure don’t trust anyone…we’ve already learnt our lesson. What’ll be the outcome??

i know we cant trust maoist whole heartedly especially after all those chaos they’d created in the past… still i’m optimistic. i know this war has to come to an end n most probably this is the right time to end it. yeah… it’s different to fight in jungle n politically in front of people but why not give them a chance… we’ve been ruled by king, other political parties… lets try with maoist this time… i’m really excited about the constitution assembly electioon, cant wait to vote!!!

r u sure we get to vote in constituent assembly elections??? by we, i mean the general public…i thought it’s done by the representatives…

Well…here I m out-of-knowledge…well,lets see wat comes out of Mr.Hu’s visit to India…

…issac…i heard that the borders issues with Mr. Jintao will be finally settled…congrats…

So we r into politics now.i guess we shud at least know sumthing abt it. At least that is wat I think. Tara khali news matari hai pheri. Nothing more than that.Maichang let me correct u. its not constitution assembly, its constituent assembly. Its not constitution assembly just because it says sambhidhan sabha in Nepali. And shail619, regarding ur question, yes we can vote too. All of us who are 18 ( I hope u r too coz I am)will have our names in the voters list. So if these ppl hold the elections before we leave for the US, we can actually vote for our choice of government. Sorry Isaac, don’t know much abt the politics of our neighboring country. It wud hav been different had u were to ask abt bollywood. But its nice to hear frm u abt our political scenario.

Anyway, keeping politics aside, let me get back to where I was yesterday. Sorry for getting back into already talked issue. Technical reasons, the same old dial up connection, shail knows it. “ some are sending 2006-2007 while some are sending 2007-2008”. Now whoever sends it, the form will be the same for all. Isn’t it. Do different colleges have different ISFAA forms??? If not then can we send the same form to all the colleges we apply to, those accepting the commonapp. And what do u mean by Upenn sent u the form shail. They send us the form in the mail? Ki we download it? Clear my confusions.

the ISFAA form is the same (at least for quite a lot of them)…i don’t think the usage of commonapp and ISFAA are related in any way…u need to check out the individual requirements of the colleges…and regarding which one to use…i used the 2006-2007 one for my ED and the college said that they have entered my application into the database…so worked alright for me…UPenn had sent that ISFAA along with the application brochure…

finally back to base… college discussions again… I don’t know why but I have started growing rather apathetic towards politics after the revolution…

suckers

yeah…hehe…good to be back home hoina ta generic…

thanx no_novice for the correction.should have been constituent assembly not constitution… there’s lot more to come with all these changes in political scenario. all we need to do is wait n watch

btw superhumanbeing, we r not running away…we r only tryin to prove our worth to the other side of the world…we r trying to get wht we deserve best…we do have dreams n visions for our country…atleast i do… it’s not necessary that u shud stay here itself to serve ur country… there’re people showing their concern stayin away from their home… its not just abt us… had there been no nepalese going abroad…to the golf countries or other, our economy would have collapsed far ealier, thanx to the remittence they send home we r still surviving… we r goin in search of better oppotunities n with that we can always work for our country becos we love it

superhumanbeing:Well,I wont comment much, but as u hav postd that thing then, only for u…it depends on the point from where u see the world…from my point, its like this, well,if evryone is to stay at there homecountry, then, who will represent their own country internationally???just giv it a thought…We r being given a GOLDEN opportunity to Represent our country…then folk,WHO on earth is gonna miss THAT thing…(I m not talking bout some exceptional ppl…)…:)…

Btw,as the topic has been raised, who is gonna watch Dhoom-2???(Here,it’s ads r on the top of evrything…)…

…what are u then doing here! who is running to be a slave? what have u done for your country that you are advising ( or ordering us ) to do so? we know what to do, we will do something in the future… or what do you think? we pick up stones or guns and then run wild in the streets > do you think this is what is needed for the country? or do u think we need to stay back here, prouding ourselves of this education system here, and try to get educated from here, with those age old methods, that almost everyone says sucks, and then get our education halted from time to time due to lack of professsionalism, and remain back as you and our ancestors have been doing for some consideralble time now? or do you think, that we go around, now and try changing and correcting everything, with a dogma that we can change.

Look time will come, when you will see the reaps of this thing thats going on here. or do you know of globalization.

the first thing, is have u joined this site, to go abroad, or to come here and shout at people doing so, whatever the case, you are being extremely doctrinal.

and about the maoists issue, yes i see no optimism… if yes a very lil, extremely lil. well, do you think they will tolerate freedom of speech… if they see what we are writing down here, dont you think their agression will once again revive, they arent used to criticisms, not the whole of them, but who had been taken in there by brainwashing, and they cant be made rational in a short time. sso we have to see more i guess. plus, BE PREPARED, if any side makes some moves . i mean conspiracies… they are really really and i mean really possible at these times of turbulence… history of nations has shown this… khmaer rogue in cambodia, stalin , look at them… extreme communism will not let us live the life we are used to… i dont know what to say more!!! everything has been so much mixed up here.

“there been no nepalese going abroad…to the golf countries or other, our economy would have”- maichang

lol…again maichang…u are not tiger woods are u??? did u get me??

u don’t need to say more davincicodes…u have summed up everything perfectly…If u want a change…u need to have the courage to make it happen and we here have that courage…unlike superhumanbeing…who just have the courage to run their mouth in the most ‘non suitable’ of places…

I really don’t think that us going abroad is so bad. At least we’ll be in par with rest of the world in terms of knowledge and expertise… think how much time it will take to build a good enough research lab in Nepal for researching genetics?
While India and China boast of a future technocratic leadership, where are we. If we don’t go out, this country will cripple… when time comes we need to force this country to change…

btw when is everyone’s ED decision date??? and does it come online??..i am already so excited about my decision…
