As far biasness is concerned, you can’t trust the colleges websites or propectus’ blindly. if you all have been following the acceptance rates in the colleges, you should see the difference clearly. BE it the girl-boy biasness or the Isc-HSEB-A level biasness and all that. With a whooping no. of HSEB, ISc and A level applicants applying this year, I dont think there exists any partiality in this case. But, the girl-boy biasness, it persists. FEW lines from what my school calls a “SCHOOL REPORT” which is included along with my transcript:
- ONly a meagre 33% of the students in BNKS are girls.
- BNKS was a single sex school till 1993 and girls were added later.
THere are a few more. WHat man, is it like …? Does a school profile even need this? I aint afraid of any girl applicant. I can compete with them for my RD colleges. But man its like " OH MY GOD WE ARE SO UNDERPRIVILEGED…GIMME A PLACE" thing. Things are not going to change. Anyways, those of you who think girls dont have an edge, bad news might be coming…</p>
