Class of 2013--checking in!

Here’s to more of those in the future! For everyone! <3

Hey Times3 – just saw your added acceptance to Otterbein. Were you trying to sneak that one past us? Very happy for you and your son! I know how much he liked the program.

Thank you, ActingDad! I felt like I’d plastered that announcement all over the place! He is so, so, so happy–already texting and talking on facebook with other Otterbein kids–this is the school that most felt “right” to him, and we’re elated that it was reciprocated.

Cjenny, huge congrats! I can barely keep up tonight…so much news.

Congrats on your number one school Times3!!

Congrats to Cjenny and Times Ss WAy to go!

cjenny - YAYAYAYAYAY!!! So very excited for you all!!!

Congrats cjenny and times3. Nice!!

Congrats Times3 and cjenny!!! Fabulous news!

SO proud of Evan, Times3! What wonderful news, I’m so glad to know he’s found a match that he’s going to be happy at.

Thank you, Eve–that means a lot. You probably know he was worried because he didn’t have any early acceptances…and you also know how amazing it feels to get into an auditioned program! We are really pulling for you and will be psyched to hear your final destination. <3

Times 3 and Photomom5, you are needed on this thread you are NOT ALLOWED to leave. Thank you, threed:):):):):)

BIG CONGRATULATONS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS AN ACCEPTANCE IN HAND!!!

Rooting for those of you that are still waiting:)

We won’t abandon ya, Threed! <3

We are here for you…and are feeling your pain already!! LOL :)

I don’t post much anymore – I went through this nail biting process with my S three years ago and tried to put it out of my mind as quickly as possible. But I have been following the posts and want to add my congratulations to everyone so far. It seems that things are falling into place and many of the regular posters – or their Ds and Ss – are being accepted to programs that they are thrilled to attend. And, more decisions are expected beginning this weekend. I am keeping my fingers crossed during these final weeks! It is only a short time until everyone will start thinking about heading over to Bed Bath & Beyond (to check out those dorm necessities) and will have a much needed rest from BA-BFA acting program admission anxiety!

Acting Dad, I have to say my heart does a backflip every time I see you post in the decision thread and I think, ohhhh did she get another acceptance from a top choice? and then you are posting for someone else. Thanks for being the corresponding secretary and thanks for posting the info on the top so we don’t get cross eyed figuring out who was added to colleges.

Thanks. I’m not the only one who has done secretary duty but right now I have small break from playing “house Mom” while my wife is recovering from knee replacement surgery. I will be so glad to go back to work next week!!

I can’t imagine how difficult this wait would be if I didn’t have somewhere to go already next year. Even with a couple acceptances in hand, I still wake up and go to sleep nervous. I’ve bitten my nails down to almost nothing out of anxiety. I just want to know where I’m going to be in the fall!

I hope you find out that answer soon, Eve. I hope all you seniors are able to enjoy the last bit of senior year once all this waiting is over!

My D is also very anxious about actually making a decision. We are setting up visits with her accepted schools so that she can take another look. It doesn’t help when you know that some other school might get thrown in the mix at the last minute.

D has 2 acceptances and they are both very different. Very good things in each program that distinguish them. One of them is quite a departure from what she originally set out for, but she fell in love with the program and the place during her audition. The tricky part for us is that we will have to travel (by air…we are no where near any of these places) to visit and we’d like to wait until all of the decisions are in so we can combine trips if possible. If that doesn’t happen until April 1, then we have to hurry that up and get out of town so we can get that decision made before May 1 for deposits etc. Just when we thought we were done with something, she gets into a place that she didn’t audition for on campus. Hopefully once the decision is made, the rest will be smooth. (registering, housing etc.) Right? Something about this should be easy…right?
