<p>The Record reports that as compared to last year, there were fewer ED applications but more RD apps. The total apps appear to have increased from 6631 to 6837, an increase of about 3%.</p>

<p>Damn… I thought it was somewhat of an accomplishment to get deferred, apparently this is not the case because they only rejected about 1 out of every 5 applicants…</p>

<p>You should keep in mind that many people who get in ED are athletes that are tipped and already have an agreement to play with the college.</p>
