U will not go to Jacobs…an excellent aid is definitely waiting for u from a college in US. I told u in your own school that u will get Lafayette…may be that time I was wrong…but I’m sure that u will get an excellent college with best possible aid.

i guess Vtech and Syracuse and the likes explicitly say on their website that they dont give aid…the colleges i got rejected from…Gustavus, Hanover…i never had a hint that they expected us to be filthy rich…on their website, all i saw was ‘we are committed to an int’l atmosphere…intl students are valuable assets…int’l aid available…we do all to help them…submit ISFAA ISCOF’…and so i did apply…but only to waste rs. 450…

I really dont think that Williams is going totally need aware from this year… According to my sources this year…Williams has definitely removed its’ NO-LOAN’ policy but ‘need -aware’ thing is yet to be implemented…I guess Class of 2015 will have to bear the brunt… Lucky us!

Unfortunately, the article explicitly stated that Williams was adopting the need-aware policy for “Class of 2014’s international applicants” and would be adding loan to the FA awarded.

@to all jacobs enthuasiast
just wanna say jacobs comes with huge loans with graduation but you have ur own choice.if u state 0 family contribution then u are said to pay betn 500=1000 euro most so there is never pressure to work.

about the grad schools it depends on the score u get. if u land something below 1.67 when u graduate no one will stop u from goin to any graduate school. for ECE,phy,EECS, getting 2.0 is pretty good . the scale system is 1.00- 4.33, 1.33-1.67(3.67-4),1.67-2.00(3.33-3.67).

since german is a barrier so there is hardly any chance to do job outside campus but there is again very flexible financial aid office, unlike US college where u are compelled to pay the semester fees.

ur choice( future loans or present small family contribution), there is no question on the quality of education. the jacobs curriculum is almost similar to RICE curriculum the only difference is that you need to complete the 4 year degree in 3 years.

this forum is going funny these days,but atleast some good acceptances and congrats to all the accepted ones.But other ppl who are still waiting for their decision or almost lose hope ,don’t panic there is still more way to go.
Simply going to Yale or Cornell,trinity or hamilton,KU or TU does not do anything…
feel your life first and then apply-don’t go behind the rumors…give strength to yourself

To those who are accepted into elite schools
congrats and then start enjoying your life otherwise US life sucks-it’s not as easy as College confidential----unless you really show what you can do here, admins will kick your butt.And you won’t expect yourself going into good grad schools…brothers/sisters…please don’t allow yourself think that once u set in a good undegrad school mean that u r gud for ur whole life,there are more than examples where good LAC stds go to less tier colleges for grad degrees…personally i hate someone who makes their claims in being accepted to high ranked LAC’s and find themselves best…education is not only there…have you ever looked outside your state to find how competitive students from other states are to get into grad school…

Recommendations to colleges
seems that some guys got at JUB …congrats again,seems that some one prescribes JUB for being 4 yrs course condensed into 3 years…and very high probabilities on ECE and CS.Go there,its a great school but wait and think,there are lots good schools remaining…
Grad school acceptances for JUB is amazing but don’t let you do less research on how other normal USA Universities students easily get into the top USA Universities where Jacobs topper can hardly made into…
i hate that part where the course is compared to Rice…funny lol!!!who wouldn’t do that in US Top 100 ranked colleges…it’s a University not just a building lol!!!
