Class of 2014 From Nepal

why do you need? Don’t ask this type of inane questions you surely get placement in high profile colleges

Is there anybody applying to MIT or Caltech for EA…
Just curious…

@glimpseofhope.
it wasn’t for me. I’m helping out my frens. So don’t bark at me. You should be helping tooooo.

I don’t think anybody from bnks is going for mit and caltech for ea.Probably they will be applying in RD.

@linux
i don’t think anyone from BNKS

^^
i didn’t see post 984
sorry!

i got AAAd. i gave sat 1 last year and got 650 in CR, 710 in maths… 2270 in sat 2… good recommendation and excellent CV. can anyone suggest me colleges… and i dont wish to clash with any of the bnks, rbs and malpi students

@Linux,
FYI, international students cannot apply EA to MIT. Same with Caltech if you need FA.

@glimpseofohope,
getting into top-notch US Universities with full financial aid is not a piece of cake.

@mitbabu
after long time, u made me inexorable to post here. I just read the post. So, u smell the blood of mine…haha, i had nearly forgot to laugh…lol. That means u must be pretty known to me, else PM me, who r u? And if u need any help, doors r always open.

@all who r asking to suggest the name of the college list where there wont be clash from BNKS, RBS AND MALPI.
If i had known such college, i myself would have applied there. Simple suggestion to u, begin to search the college yourself…u have enough time. Be independent. Then also i can tell u some of the names: Princeton, Franklin W Olin College of Engineering, Northeastern University, johns hopkins, Cameroon University, rust college, University of Central Mississipi, South Dakota State University, University of California Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon University…

@2014
what r u doing?? By just posting here u cannot get the total help. U have to search for colleges yourself. Man, be realistic: how can u expect to get an excellent college with 3B AND c and with 1220 SAT composite?? No chance…and it is too tough to get one where u just need to pay 8k only. I had better SAT than you have and gud stats. Then also i didnt get a college with proper aid. Improve your SAT score upto 1400 composite.

@linux2.6.27
I had sent an email to each MIT and Caltech, and both of them replied to me stating that if i need financial aid, i must apply under RD. THUS, i have already sent online app to MIT for RD, and will apply to Caltech too under RD.

@all who r applying for EA.
Before applying, email them. And, beware that some have (i forgot the actual term, like for Yale) different type of EA by which u r not allowed to apply to other college under ED or EA…for more info, check out the website of Yale or Stanford.

@duke
Skidmore…not gud. Tell him/her to change it.

@duke

@schofield. Except Princeton, does others even provide aid???

Northwestern aid sucks???

^Well, if(and I repeat that again, IF) you get in then they meet 100% of demonstrated aid. However, considering that it requires a compulsory application fee and is extremely extremely competitive to get into for people with financial need, I’d say Northwestern would be a pretty bad choice.

@Gurung:

MIT is gr8 at aid, its need-blind but I don’t think Caltech’s gonna give any…I don’t even recall anybody getting in Caltech, they’ll just waitlist u…

does UCLA provide aid? it’s state run right? but i heard frm someone that it does provide substantial aid.

I believe there was someone accepted at Caltech for the class of 2012.

UCLA won’t give aid to internationals. Heartbreaking but true.
