@ all, it will help that you mention everything genuinely in the finanicial forms. I don’t think anyone would be willing to pay more than 6k pay for college. So anything below that can work.

This fact is , however, true that adcoms can play games with financial package sometimes.

One of my seniors at Malpi got in Trinity with an aid of 5k per annum…even though he had mentioned that his family could contribute only 2k for his first year. He eventually sent a mail explaining his financial situtation etc…and he got it reduced till 3k for his first year. In his second year he is now expected to pay just 900…students apply for aid everyyear in a college even after they get accepted …(This applies only to some colleges.)

So the thrust of my argument is that college financial process is pretty simple if you don’t make it complicated. you are just required to send 2-3 forms along with some sort of certification of the sum youre willing to pay…what sort of certification???..your college can tell you.
Its visa process that requires all the running…about land value prices, rent incomes, particular assets ceritfication, etc…So don’t take that headache right now.

And yes balndglomfigoom/////???####… it wont affect visa process as long as the college accepts you and is willing to provide you the scholarship you required…

@rockhardabs: becoming the Captain of BNKS does not really mean that they have the same pool of ideas…there are two people appying to Conn this time, one is the Captain and the second one is the Deputy. one is a sports prodigy, with varied interests on other fields. the other is an academic guru, and i am pretty confident that he has a very good chance. people other than these two applying to Conn should seriously reconsider their options once again. i mean, i feel, not both, but either of 'em will deffo get in.

@pokharaboy:
i have a strong feeling that you are one of those BNKS folks just playing around. But if you are not, well, here is a strong bit of advice.
as you may know, there are two people applying to conn this time. both complement each other perfectly. if you are like ’ you have to go there’, then apply. but you would not want to waste your ED option. find a parallel college. apply there.

@rupert09- Well if we keep on running away from competition then we might as well not apply to a US college at all. Besides, we don’t even know what pokharaboy’s stats are like. So, I’d say go for it, pokharaboy, if Conn College is your first choice!

@ rupert09, Blandstreetbloom and rockhardabs

I’m not actually studying at BNKS, but at Mahindra UWC in India. I’m a decent student of my class with great SAT and SAT II scores. I’ve SAT scores of 2160 and SAT II of 2400. I’ve a good no. of EC’s too at my school.

I’m very interested in Conncoll and decided to apply ED. I just wanted to know how great my competitors are. Can you please give me a rough sketch of their stats - like SAT’s, no. of A-Levels etc. How good students are they?

Pokhara dude…u are soooo in the game!!!..fear no one!..looks like u have all the chance in the world (n btw everyone who is decent enough has a chance)…how can anyone be soooooo sure that no one has a chance at conncoll other than the two bnks-ers??..if rupert09 is the admissions officer at conncoll or bnks n concoll have some sort of mutual agreement, then i think everyone should think twice before even applyin to conncoll…but i think that’s not the case!

I concur with Sarbaraj101, no one can pinpoint who is going to get in XYZ college because of what…Again, I save seen students of 1970 score get into elite schools as Stanford and ones with 2210 score get into mediocre college. SAT score is not the only measuring stick. Neither is just the extracurriculars…neither just academics…your reccos…your essays all contribute to the decision making process ( a fact known by all present here).

The fact that rupert09 here seems here as if he is discouraging pokhara boy and other applicants to apply. Concoll…Now since pokhara boy has disclosed his stats, it seem as if he has higher chances of getting in than deputy boys or somebody else…considering his IB course and solid SAT scores.

I would like to say I might be wrong here. whatever I say here may not materialise in the near future but since it is ‘chances’ we are talking about…one can still speculate and I am with Pokhara…Haha I too studied in India…

@pokhara booy, you have got good scores considering the average of Nepali scores…I feel anyone with scores above 2150 should apply ivy if he/she has strong stats and good essays and reccos…thats what i feel…2150^ is a good score ni…

unless u had something like 560 cr, 800 maths, 800 writing on SAT’s…then we’d have a lil problem regarding CR…LOL!..otherwise, how can 2160 not be solid or even way above solid??
