<p>Actually, Oxford has ridiculous requirements for American students. Like, they suggest a minimum of 5 5’s on AP Exams…to be considered!</p>

And my counselor want me to apply to some liberal art schools like Wellesley, Colgate, Vassar, Swarthmore, Williams etc… but tbh I have no interest.</p>
<p>Can someone explain to me why so many people apply to 10+ schools. I don’t mean to come off as bashing those who do, but I just can’t seem to find 10 schools that I think I would choose over a school I am confident I will get in and know I can afford, so I don’t really want to spend $1,000+ just applying.</p>
<p>^When you are applying to one ivy, chances are that the other ones will at least appeal to you. </p>
