It is too totally un-you-know-what. Very very un-you-know-what.

Everytime I have a conversation like this I want to start talking about * the thing * .

Dead thread. slaps thread

Magical, chocolate curl is Ethiopian.

I come from China. As many Chinese students in US , I get somewhat perfect scores, very very horrible ECs.

any one applying to UCHICAGO??

Me me me me ME!!!

I LOVE UChicago. :)

Me too! I was thrown in love with UChicago by some noobs <_<

Me?
Good. Those who don’t love Chi deserve to be killed.

Yay UChicago! Are most of the UChicago applicants aiming to study Eco, btw?

Oh and is anyone giving SAT I in November? Or just SAT IIs?

I’m not aiming to study Eco. I’m aiming to study like…I don’t know. Lots of stuff. Haha.

I’m giving the SAT I in December!

Yea!! class of 2014

Had to come online to reply to a PM (I hate keeping people waiting :() so I guess I couldn’t fulfill my self-imposed ban.

On a tangential note…

HOW DO YOU GIVE AN EXAM? QUASI!!!

Mixing the phrases “give exam” and “take exam” is a common error ESL students make because in their native tongues students “give exams” and teachers “take exams”, while it’s otherwise in English. But when you come to think of it, both phrases make sense in both situations.

ahha, i never knew that. lol. ‘give’ an exam. i wish… sigh.

I don’t understand how one can take OR give exams. gets random image of someone grabbing an exam booklet and running off with it Neither of them make sense, so whatever.

And ooooooh tetris are you back for real? :)

I always say that I’m writing an exam :p

Yes ma’am, I am indeed.

lol, ‘ma’am’. i have bad memories of using that. i said that to a teacher once in reply when she was going off at me, and she said i was being impertinent and kicked me out of class.
i mean, really. jeez.
ive never used ‘writing’ an exam before. sit and take, yeah, but write? hmmm…

We call all our teachers “ma’am!” Haha wow, talk about cultural differences :D

What else do you call a teacher except ma’am? :O
