Hey, you’re right about the Stanford thing. I should do that.

My essays around 700-750 words. I would definitely say DON’T go past 1000. But then again, nobody’s going to check the word limit - as long as every word adds to the essay and is really interesting and doesn’t make it unnecessarily long…

Unnecessarily being the key word.

See, whatever you write about, brevity is always beneficial. If you can get something across in three words instead of ten, go for it.

Antone taking the TOEFL test anytime soon?
@tetris: I tried all the combinations, from light gray to grayishwhite, and finally found what The ‘color’ was.

Really? Where, on the other thread? Lemme go see.

I have to write the TOEFL sometime over the next few months.

Nah. I kept editing the same post until I found the right one.
The TOEFL test was reallly really boring. I barely managed to keep myself from sleeping. But in the middle of the listening section my headphones just stopped working.
and that wasted almost 3 out of 10 minutes and I had to make a calculated guess in one of the questions.

But I hear that the test’s really easy, so you’re bound to get a very respectable score :)

Kudos on the colour!

ccprofile,I’ve been desperate to know what the whole speaking section is about…So,what questions are asked?Btw,I’m writing the test in August.

lol lol lol 10char

@smart: Don’t stammer,be calm and use simple english and you’re all set for the speaking section.

^And, yeah, use the whole allotted time also.

I’ll probably wind up writing it in August too. What are the dates offered here, smartchap?

^August 8,22,30.
But,I’m still thinking about which one of these dates to choose, because I don’t want my school exams to be affected.

I think I’ll take it on September 12th

August/September should be perfectly fine. And idk how it’s there but over here there is a lot of rush for the test during those months. So, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to register early.

Hmm OK, I’ll try register this week then.
