I’m picturing @vistajay getting popped for B&E at the GC’s home while the GC is still in the hospital, and vistajay trying to explain to the police “I only needed THAT ONE LETTER!”
The twist: the arresting officer has a kid on the NMSF bubble and totally gets it. Lets @vistajay out of the cuffs and gives her a ride home. Fin.

Totally a Costanza family move.

You all are hilarious! I think I would do that same thing! Desperately, awaiting word from fello Californias on cut off or confirmation from NJ and MA that numbers went down. Anyone out there? Why is it so quiet???

Utah reporting here. My daughter got called down to the office today for a meeting with the principal and her guidance counselor. As she walked in, all of the office staff came over to shake her hand and congratulate her. She and one other student from the school made semi-finalist. She had a 211. She was not told what the Utah cutoff was, but they gave her the impression that it was lower than 211. Thanks for all of the posts here! I will continue following this thread with great interest. Good luck to everyone!

Congrats @bevward!

Wasn’t she in her 80’s?

Whoops, wrong thread. Thought I was posting in the joan rivers thread.

Good. I was trying to link being in one’s 80s with waiting for NMSF letters…

So excited for all those who are getting good news today! I can’t believe some of you are just getting back to school. It seems like we have been back forever already here in TN. Congrats especially to @GoAskDad - thanks for making this wait fun and enjoyable!

PS - Anyone on here from Canton (OH) McKinley high school by any chance?

North Carolina reporting. My son is confirmed by GC with 215.

@bevward thanks for sharing that story! That is the way it should be, a nice way to congratulate the students.

Congratulations to your daughter!

c’mon peeps - anyone from MN today??

212 in Idaho made it. Letter arrived at school yesterday and Guidance Counselor told us today.

Thanks, @Barfly and @Joe2015, for your comments. Our principal and the rest of the administration are very supportive of academics even though our public school isn’t a big powerhouse. I have really appreciated that they make this special for the students rather than seeming annoyed by one more thing to have to do. It was nothing fancy, but special attention by the administration and office staff made my daughter feel special and very happy.

@SlowLorises Just to be super clear re: Idaho. a) 212 was the overall state cutoff? or b) 212 was what got you in. Thanks!

Happy to inform you all that my Son mae the

@brazilnut - also waiting here in CA with a 222, so you are not alone. I am pretty sure our school

Happy to inform that my son with a 222 in California had made the NMSF - confirmed to me by school via response to my email.
