Oooh, good catch Celeste! I just figured our other Luv had a friend in MO. Sorry for jumping the gun there.

@ Mamabear, I think it is NMSC, not College board.

@Mamabear16, that 847-866-5100 is the number to call. I called, they transferred me to the Scholarship office and they were very agreeable and friendly and will confirm that the SAT scores are there.

I didn’t quite have the nerve to ask them about the popcorn in the break room though.

AL is at most 208 - as child was notified by school of making the cut

Commended (national cutoff) = 201

Thanks, everyone, for sharing the correct phone number with me. They were very nice and confirmed that they had received the SAT scores (we sent them a long time ago, so I feel much better now knowing that they have them). I didn’t ask about the popcorn, though! :)

Any MS numbers out there? Patience is not one of my virtues…

No news yet from NJ, MA, or DC, all of which had historically high cutoff scores of 224 last year. Here’s hoping all three drop by at least one point!

@NJMom97, I haven’t had time to check, or start a thread over there, but what about DC Urban Mom? There’s a whole college section there and somebody has to have info re: DC and MD, assuming you find the info to be credible. I will create a thread there later if I can.

I seem to remember that MA was one of the last outposts to report in last year, not sure why … :-?

Actually, someone in my son’s class posted in DCUM a few days ago, but it quickly turned into a huge discussion on whether NMF helps with Ivies, and moms who do alum interviews put their two sense in…she and I gave up last night thinking anything serious would come out of it
My older son’s girlfriend is a Senior at Sdwell Friends, and she told him no one has said a word (she’s NOT in the running for being pulled out and told she’s a SF!) but since apparently their principal was fired a few months ago, they prob don’t have their act together anyway! Long story short…we are still on our own at CC!

I’m tired of waiting for official word from D’s school so I decide to take matters into my own hands. I am volunteering at the school today anyway, running a parent volunteer program for the freshmen. The principal comes in to check on me, and I ask him if they got the NM letter and if he can let me know if my D is on it. He says he gave it unopened to the GC, who is in the hospital today (nothing too serious by the sound of it). Argghh! But then he says to come see him later and he will check the GC mail slot for the letter. Sweet! So I hop down to the office after my program is over, he checks the mail, and we see the GC mail slot is barren! She must have gotten it before she had to go into the hospital. I am reminded of the Seinfeld episode where George visits the tarot card reader in the hospital to see if she will tell him what awful thing will happen if he goes on a planned vacation. Too pushy to bring the GC flowers in the hospital and casually work the conversation around to NMSF notification? Sigh…I am thinking no word for a while.

I have another report of the KS cut-off being 213, PMd to me by a long-time poster.

Bless you, long-time poster.

I just have to say that if my DS makes the cut at 213 then this Friday’s drinks are on ME, people! (yes…even you NMSC folks sitting there with your mouths full of popcorn…)

WOOOOOOOT!

And this is seriously the best.thread.ever.

@vistajay, you’d think that your principal could send somebody to go get it…or call the counselor if she is not in serious condition.

Yes, this is a Seinfeld episode and a Dilbert all rolled into one big giant blob. Ugh. For all (or at least most) of us!

@GoAskDad - Congrats to you and your S (again)!!

@GoAskDad: What about Thursday’s drinks?

And the reason there aren’t posts from MA or DC is because those blasted scores have to be so high, students have either already given up or are still studying.

My son’s been confirmed by a nearby school, a friend’s homeschool letter, an email from our principal, our very own letter, and now the NMS corporation via received scores. But I’m still not going anywhere. This is too fun! Pass me the wine please!

@GoAskDad - congrats and I hope you get the “official” notification soon!
