***Class Of 2015 NMSF Qualifying Scores***

Please use this template that explains the symbols below for each state

See the stickied FAQ thread in this forum for links to lists of previous scores.

After the press-release date in mid-September, qualifying scores will be available by phone from the NMSC. Here is the number to call–the receptionist will give you one “qualifying score” when asked.

National Merit Scholarship Corporation
1560 Sherman Avenue
Suite 200
Evanston, Illinois 60201-4897
Main Telephone: (847) 866-5100
Main Fax: (847) 866-5113

You can feel free to edit the list yourself. Or simply post your information and rely on others to edit it in.

If you have been notified that you are NMSF, post your score (and your state) if it is lower than the score already posted for your state. It will then become the lowest known qualifying score and be indicated as “<=”.

If you have reliable knowledge of what the qualifying score for your state is (try asking whoever notifies you!), post it here, too. It will become the definitive cut-off score for your state indicated by “=”.

Finally, if you know that you did not qualify and had a reasonably high score, it can also be useful to post your score as an example of the highest non-qualifying score. This can be indicated by “>=”

Please note: Be conscientious as you post scores on this thread–it would be crushing to be led to believe you have made the cutoff by a post but actually haven’t. But everyone should be tolerant of mistakes, too. This is an unofficial source of information derived from a collaborative process and is not, therefore, guaranteed.

SE Boarding Schools <= 218, school counselor

Commended (national cutoff) = 201

219 in Virginia worked; my daughter was notified this afternoon by her counselor.

thanks all for sharing…

Nothing in mail. Nothing from school. List of names from town appeared in on-line edition of CT paper this evening.

So do have an update on CT score from what is listed? @SoFarSoGood22‌

@CoreyDad Congrats!!! Could you confirm your D score? 219? I want to make sure the cut-off.

Corning, NY
http://www.the-leader.com/article/20140909/NEWS/140909644/10057/NEWS</a></p>

Does anyone have any more news from New York? Anyone else qualify with 218 or better?

Or more relevantly, lower than a 218?

Texaspg - No CT cut-off or scores provided, only names. The lowest known score among the group is above the currently listed 220.

Kudos to whoever predicted, way upthread, earlier in the year, that Michigan could be one of the only states to increase. That has proven to be true! As of now, we have three states (including DC) staying the same, and Michigan +1. Very glad my D was way over the cutoff. In fact, she was one of those “50-state qualifiers”!

Just found out with my name in a newspaper. I made it as a national merit semifinalist in MA with a 224!!

@235423‌ Congratulations!

Somewhere on Illinois Indiana border.

<a href=“National Merit Semifinalists named”>http://www.nwitimes.com/news/local/illinois/national-merit-semifinalists-named/article_e15f68cc-0d3f-5819-9812-27ae904179a4.html</a></p>

@texaspg‌ How do you find these news releases? I would like to find news reports from NJ.

googling national merit semifinalist. I don’t see any stories yet for NJ. I am guessing more stories will show up in a couple of hours when it is a new day?

Thank you. I was on Yahoo and not finding any news releases.

When exactly we will know tomorrow state cutoff ?
