<p>I just got my deferral letter today and it says “this delay is a very normal part of the University’s admissions process”. Is this true or are they just trying to be nice?</p>
<p>p8ntbllr234 - They have stated in the past that as many as 60% are deffered until March. This is according to admissions, my daughter was deferred yesterday too. She has friends who have very high stats, that were deferred too.</p>

<p>I honestly thought I’d get deferred. My weighted GPA was only sent in as a 3.43. (As of this semester… I will have raised it to a 3.75! I’m really proud of that. XD) But my SAT was 1230.</p>
<p>About 65% of people get into USC. But if you really wanna know your chances… Just put it to the charts.</p>
<p>With SAT scores of 1200-1600 on Cr/M, you have higher than a 90% chance that you’ll get in. 1100-1190 have a 85% chance of getting in. 1000-1090 slightly less than 50% chance. 990 and below is less than 10%.</p>
<p>With Weighted GPA scores of 4.5 and up, you have higher than a 90% chance of getting in. 4.0-4.49 is around 85%. 3.5-3.99 is about 75%. 3.0-3.49 is just over 50%. 2.5-2.99 is about 30%. Anything less than that is less than 10%.</p>

<p>No, I don’t know the percentage that gets in, but it must be high. Many from my daughters school last year got deferred and then got in. We are in Virginia Beach. According to the chart she is in the 75% profile.</p>
