Class of 2016 from Nepal

^ xxeroxx Thank you for the suggestion:my friend was searching for good engineering college.

xxeroxx: I don’t think University of Maine is low ranked.

[University of Maine Information, Alumni, Academics, History, Campus, and Students - a StateUniversity.com profile](<a href=“USA University College Directory - U.S. University Directory - State Universities and College Rankings”>University of Maine (UM) Academics and Admissions - Orono, ME)

Anyway,thank you for the information.

I come from a +2 science background. So , what does my counselor fill in “Full Year/First Semester/First Trimester”,“Second Semester/Trimester” and “Third Trimester” in the Common App’s school form ? I have no idea whatsoever . anybody ?

just fill in your 5 different subjects that you took in your senior year, in each column, that’ll do…

yo anyone of you going to georgia tech? or virginia tech???

Not me! :)

me neither  :D

Nepalese going to GATech or VirgTech is hard to find I assume coz they don’t provide much aid to internationals… Full pay or near full pay students only would be able to afford it as an international candidate. Isn’t it?

ohh true… is there any nepali here who go to high school in USA?

Not me! XP

Can anyone suggest me some safety colleges for engineering?

post# 180 …u can consider uni of maine as ur safety

I think Umaine only gives full tution as FA to internationals. But I am not sure so I emailed the adcom but no reply yet.

Try JUB too?

what’s JUB??

Jacobs University Bremen. Its a German University…

Do you guys know abt Tulane Univ. Does it provide FA and stuff? Any nepalese accepted there?

never heard the name like trinity or lafayettte…so i dn think tulane aids as many international students as the others.

Tulane is not really known for its generosity for internationals but if you can get the Dean Honors Scholarship then you will get full tuition fee waived. But if you get DHS you wont be eligible for other aids like merit based or community work scholarship. The only thing is that only 100 or so students get DHS each year so its REALLY hard. and without DHS even if you get merit based or need based aids the remaining adds up to around 18k.

I know someone who was accepted but that person did not get enough aid.

^ thank you.
Have you guys finished ur college list? I am having a hard time…
anyone giving SAT I this Nov?
