I submitted my app on the 15th was accepted today. Is this an error? I feel like that was too fast

It’s not an error. Congrats!

lalala777 do you mind sharing where you’re from and if you were EA or SCEA?

Thanks! I’m from Maryland and I applied EA

should I send my first quarter grades to Tulane if I haven’t heard back yet? They are good grades with a rigorous schedule. Can’t do any harm, right?

I can’t see how it can hurt at all.

Congrats to everyone who’s gotten good news so far!
I’ve been waiting since Oct. 20th. Just got back my ACT scores from the October ACT and somehow I managed to pull a 32 (I had a 30 originally)
Does anybody think that if I was initially deferred for EA these scores might change it? Fingers are crossed.

Well, you haven’t been deferred yet since you haven’t gotten any decision. In fact this is probably one reason they don’t do final decisions on deferrals until the end. New scores come in all the time.

I would email your admissions person right away and tell them your new score and that the official notification is on its way. Congrats on the improvement. That must have put a huge smile on your face.

Soundshaper—Get off CC and email your adcom NOW!!! Congrats on your improved score. It could make a big difference.

My admissions counselor faxed the scores to Tulane. Should I still contact my adcom with an email as well??

Sure. Keep it short, but it is a chance to emphasize your strong desire to attend Tulane.

Alright, writing a message now. I hope I’m not gonna creep them out, it’ll be my second one in a week.

Got my mailed letter today- presidential scholar & honors program
Anyone else in the honors program? Or who’s going to the admitted student days?

Soundshaper- have you had ACT send the scores to Tulane officially? If you haven’t already, I would do that ASAP (as in tonight), since I believe ACT sends them in bulk two times a week. I’m not sure but I think one of the days they send is Tues. and the other which I know for a fact, is on Friday’s. My D had them sent on a Thurs. and it took a full week before they officially landed in her file. It seems to me, in this day and age it should almost be instantaneous and just a matter of hitting “send” but it’s not.

Congrats roxy. Several people on here have indicated they received similar news.

I was accepted over two weeks ago and I still have not received my letter in the mail with the scholarship info on it. How long does it usually take and is there a reason why it’s taking so long?

Congratulations to everyone who was accepted!

I applied EA on the 14th and I thought it would be at least two weeks until I heard back, but it sounds like a lot of you were notified within a week and a half. Fingers crossed that I get a decision within the next few days :)

You should have gotten it by now. Ask admissions to send it again.
