Class of 2018 (yikes!) - Sharing,Venting, Etc

Your still in it then if no notice that is how I am trying to view this waiting!!!

Us too re: Pace. Fingernails getting shorter by the day.

Headed to NYC on Monday…need suggestions for good plays to see…

Oh yes! We went March 1 weekend. If possible, get tickets to Aladdin. We got the last two seats for our show, not together, on the last row, and could see perfectly. THis show is Fabulous! The best that Broadway has to offer! We saw Wicked, which was great as well, and Cinderella, which was not. If you haven’t seen Phantom of the Opera, it is fabulous as well.

If you’re open to a musical, go see A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder!

We have a long list of musicals  looking for a couple of plays

BTW, we got our tickets at the Aladdin Box office. Online was showing sold out. I would recommend checking there in person if you can’t get tickets online.

You could go see Denzel Washington in A Raisin in the Sun.

Awesome! What a great suggestion!

Pippin! Just saw it a few weeks ago and it was AMAZING!!!

Heard A Raisin in the Sun was great!

Courtney Reed who plays Jasmine in Aladdin is a Roosevelt/CCPA grad. FYI.
@bisouu Waiting for Godot with Patrick Stewart, also Bryan Cranston plays LBJ in All The Way if you are in to politics and celebrity casting! ;-)

Buyer and Cellar is supposed to be very funny. It’s a one-man show about a guy who lives in Barbra Streisand’s basement and runs a private shopping mall for her.

Also the Public’s doing what sounds like a very interesting version of Antony & Cleopatra.

@annelisesmom, I think it was some sort of a mix up. We had applied to the school, through the school website and added them to my son’s common app, but the way he had things selected on the common app prevented it from forwarding them his letters of recommendations, essay, etc.
It was confusing, even for the admissions folks but they worked with S until we found a way to get the info to them. They even helped us avoid having the pay the admission fee twice ( what the common app path would have required)

regarding admission decisions, I know they are working on sending letters out and some of the department heads chose to call students… perhaps not all did or will, so it seems notification can come via phone call or letter.

My S did get a call ( and I wonder if it’s because certain staff at Pace who shall remain unnamed) got wind of my frequent stress bursts here on CC and decided to do my S a favor! :))
I have to laugh at myself! I only hope I hold it together better for the other three kids!!

All the Way… about LBJ

Our D is there this week. She saw A Gentlemans Guide to Love and Murder last night and said it is a must see. Then I saw Kathie Lee and Hoda on the Today Show. And they too said it was fantastic.

Other ideas:
Of Mice and Men with James Franco and Leighton Meester.
Bridges of Madison Co with Kelli O’Hara
Aladdin
Pippin
A Raisin In The Sun
Matilda
3 penny opera with Laura Osnes
Les Mis

DoReMiMom and others waiting for Pace MT. It’s my understanding that all the calls were made for MT. I don’t know about any of the other majors, but I believe if you did not receive a call for MT already, then it’s a no.

People are waiting for the Pace letters to find out if it’s a waitlist or a no.

Thanks! If anyone hears anything about the Theater Arts BA, please share!
