Any word about New Mexico?
@kimclan1 just saw!!!
somebody in Missouri give up some info please!
We are in TX. Heard back yesterday from my DD school counselor. The secretary mentioned cutoff gone up to 222, but I see that online it still shows TX cutoff as 221.
My DD got a 225.
Confirmed 221. I know three Texas kids that were sweating at 221 and received their letters.
There were firsthand reports of getting SF with a 221 - could it be that the school itself had no one below 222?
225 clears everything, even US students abroad - your DD is on top of the world
I’m in Florida and I have an SI of 211. Is it safe to assume I’m going to get nothing?
@Hermalez The commended level is an SI of 212 and up, so unfortunately, you are not going to be receiving anything from the National Merit Corp. However, that must have been a decent PSAT score, so hopefully you’ve followed up with an even more impressive SAT score - which should help with getting in and perhaps some merit money at good schools. Good luck this year!
just got the letter from california with a 1500. our school had 30-some recipients, a bit lower than previous years for our school
what was your SI?
I got 1500 from CA with SI of 224
Waiting in Colorado! Daughter has a Si of 225. ACT 35 and SAT Chem 800, Sat Math II 800 in the books!! Good luck to all!
@coffeemomCO The confirmed cutoff score for CO is 221. Congratulations to your daughter! :-*
Art Sawyer updated the commended and the score is 212. He replied to someone asking about it
@WImom94 Thank you!! I had not seen the cut offs listed. I appreciate the help. Waiting to hear something from our school/ college counselor.
@coffeemomCO I understand!! Our D scored exactly on the cutoff for WI. I know that it has been “confirmed”, but I will feel much better once we get official word from her school. Any early thoughts on where your D might go?
@WImom94 I agree about getting the official word! : )
Daughter wants to study aerospace, mechanical or chemical engineering. she is applying to 4 public and 4 private universities. Her reach schools includes her favorite, MIT, where she was fortunate enough to spend a month this summer at the Women’s Technology Progran . We shall see! It’s a dream for sure! She also loves Purdue, NC State, Duke and Cornell. Working hard on her apps now!! What about your daughter?
@coffeemomCO Your D’s summer program sounds amazing! My BIL went to Purdue to engineering - it is a great school! Our D plans to do something with writing. She loved the University of Iowa, but may end up choosing something a bit smaller.
Awesome @WImom94 ! My oldest is a creative writing/ professional writing double major at UNC Wilmington. Loves it!!
How do you calculate the Selection Index for SAT confirming score? Is it true you need at least a 212 to move on to finalist?
