@rantahu I live in nyc and right now it sys non-renewable undergraduate
I honestly wouldn’t worry if I were you. They have data to save for over 60,000 applicants. They probably just haven’t gotten to you yet.
also if this helps:
“Fall 2015: The Academic Year 2015-2016 housing application is now available for early decision students. The application and $1,000 reservation payment must be submitted by May 1, 2015 in order to secure guaranteed housing for the 2015-2016 academic year.”
is that a halo emblem
@aNerdyGangster Yup
“Once a new freshmen undergraduate student has accepted admission to the University, they will receive application instructions from this office and will be able to access the housing application on the NYUHome Housing Forms channel.”
This is weird… I don’t even live in NYC and I’m apparently a Non-Renewable Undergraduate… Not a good sign…
Everyone, just stop freaking out about some portal. Decisions will come out soon; NYU has pretty much wiped any indicators from their system.
How about everyone learn what a non-renewable undergrad actually means before freaking out. It is in no way an indication of acceptance/rejection. Making up silly theories for acess to portals given to us with our NYU ID is just going to lead to disappointment. It’s likely that decisions will come out early anyway so just wait the two weeks.
@collegeplease123 do you even know what an unrenewable undergrad is? Do your research and you can make an informed conclusion about its significance (or insignificance really)
@Olivelights let us have our fun lol
@Olivelights You could’ve worded your question a bit more politely, really… And I’ve done my research on it, thank you very much.
I am able to click on “Fall 2015” Housing Application, but when I click on it, it gives me the option to click on Summer Session 2015. Is that what everyone’s says?
@Foreverindia I guessing everyone should get the summer app because non-nyu students can dorm over the summer.
@seeniebeenie I totally understand and agree with your viewpoint. I remember the time when EA rounds were going for UNC and a whole bunch of people made up some false rumor about a financial aid change… But, again, totally understand where you’re coming from.
Guys, what about the people who did get the FA change before everything got reset? Does the theory still stand for them?
So just for more speculation. Last year they released the “almost done” post on the admissions blog 4 days before notifications went out. So yep. ;D
@KDurham Hopefully they’ll have a heart and tell us as soon as they can. I don’t know why they would want to wait, but there’s a lot about this whole process that I don’t understand.
REGULAR DECISION NOTIFICATION UPDATE: Last year, on March 24th, the Admissions blog posted that they were nearly done with their decisions. On March 28th, decisions were sent. The number one piece of advice they wanted regular decision applicants to remember was that: “Decisions will be sent via email and not posted on our website. Applicants each year hunt throughout our NYU Home website (and NYU Albert student information system) looking for evidence that a decision has been made. No such decision has been made on your application until you have an email with that decision.”
Any changes on your portal are probably random and just a product of all the craziness happening in the NYU offices over the next few weeks. Good luck to all but remember to keep all this in mind as you await your decisions.
NYU Shanghai decisions are out
