I’m so nervous because I have crappy stats. The only thing I’m probably in range is GPA and maybe score (33 comp act)… God. I just want to go to NYU so bad! It’s my dream school…
I got waitlisted at the College of Arts and Science
do they use their waitlist? And can I still be admitted for Fall 2015?
@gamink348 Not spectacular stats. 2300 SAT, nothing fantastic for standardized other than that. I’m banking on my extracurriculars - business owner, web developer, and (almost) certified network security professional. Also banking on my high school’s reputation. Eight people made it to Princeton out of 68 students in my class, a bunch more to UCBerk, Duke, UChic, etc. One in Harvard.

Whens the next rejection wave expected if acceptances start at 3? I have nothing yet

@jazzdancer2102 Same. Pretty nervous, to be quite honest. I don’t want to see an email from NYU before 5PM.
@Ventures do you have a GitHub. I’m also a web developer/freelancer I don’t have much work to show on GitHub obviously(can’t give away a clients website like that for free lol) and I’m too lazy to finish my portfolio.
@Rantahu Nope, don’t use it, never liked it. I realize it’s pretty much a staple for web development and whatnot but I prefer to work on my own network. If you want to check out my latest work in progress, it’s located on my website @ bitcubed.net
I deleted the email account off my phone because my stomach jumps up to the ceiling everytime I hear a ding. And my thumbs are subconsciously doing the refresh motion on every surface because that hasnt stopped since 10AM IST when we figured decisions are out.
Has anybody got rejected after 1pm?

@penguiny Haven’t heard anything from my school or my home public school yet. I think they’ll probably do one in an hour or so and then send acceptances.
Im assuming there will be another rejection wave because theres more than 40K applicants in RD I believe and that means way more rejects too. Unless, theyve sent all of them out and the people who received decisions arent very active on CC.

Also Gallatin is the least applied to school. Isn’t there only 4 of us here.
Rejected 4.0 unweighted, 29 ACT, President of Class and President of Honors Society, Editor of School Newspaper. and lots of community service White Male. Friend got in to NYU 3.5 unweighted, 24 ACT no extras other than rec. basketball. Black Male.
