No, my bestfriend applied to NYUAD as primary and he hasnt heard back yet. If AD was your second choice, dont even count it as an application as they do not look at you, or they barely do because they give priority to first choice only. If you didnt attend candidate weekend, it means its nada.
PS: you dont get separate emails from second choice schools AFAIK saying you’re not in.

Geez did you interview with NYUSH? If you dont make it to first choice they consider you for second. If your essay was Shanghai specific, its a little dicey. Mine was purely on Gallatin and I doubt other campuses can gauge anything because my essay was so NYUNY specific. @Rantahu
Friend didnt hear back from AD first choice but hasnt been rejected by Tisch which was her second. Dont worry!

I’ve also applied to Gallatin and haven’t heard from NYU yet. But I’m super scared, particularly because I’ve read the Gallatin’s admission’s rate is 10%
Some places call it NYU’s scum lol Im confused. Current students say Gallatin and Steinhardt are the easier, less-in-demand schools. @Adddish

This was posted yesterday on NYU admissions blog
"While our official notification date for Regular Decision candidates is April 1, we are now on track to release admission decisions by email beginning early tomorrow morning. We will do everything in our power, to release decisions before and after the typical school day in America tomorrow.
This means decisions will be released in waves. Some decisions will be released before sunrise (here in New York City). Others will be sent in the late afternoon. We do this to minimize disruption to students during their school day here in the United States."
