@Fairyflower250‌ Do you feel more positive now?

Agreed

@collegeplease123‌ haha no, ive been checking this site since january 1st and eveery day is an emotional roller coaster

Well, buckle up sister. You’re in for the wildest part this week.

I personally feel my financial aid is messed up so I’m just gonna leave it at that. I hope something changes this week. If someone else has the same thing as me please let me know.

anyone with housing - nonrenewable for fall, and for fa - awards access not available??

Hi. I dont have any housing icon on my status page. where do you ge that?

where the heck do i find the “housing” page?

Man I had a mini panic attack when I woke up this morning and saw this thread had 158 new posts. Hang in there everybody!

I don’t have the FA change, but on housing all the campuses have remained constant as “Freshman” since I first checked it on Thursday, and I’ve refreshed countless times.

I know you guys are all like ‘don’t give up hope and stuff’ but I’m just going to go the pessimistic route and assume I got rejected based on the housing change. That way if I don’t get in, I’ll have been expecting it anyways and if I do, I’ll have an amazing surprise  Low expectations right?

Oh the Albert page is not available now so are they uploading the FA form !!! God the minutest alteration could be a wrecking ball for me!

FROM THE WEBSITE: "Undergraduate students admitted through NYU’s Undergraduate Admissions Office are guaranteed housing for their entire education at NYU, provided they accept housing upon admission, maintain matriculation, meet all housing application and payment deadlines, and do not cancel their NYU-NY housing for reasons other than a school-approved medical leave or study away program. By meeting these criteria, students maintain their housing guarantee and are considered to have a “renewable housing status”. Thus named since these students are able to renew their housing contract each year. Undergraduate students that have not met the criteria above have a “non-renewable housing status” and are not guaranteed housing.

Non-renewable Undergraduate Spring 2015
Housing for non-renewable students is not guaranteed. With the closing of Hayden Hall for the 2014-2015 academic year, we do not anticipate being able to offer housing to anyone who does not have a guarantee of housing. The Spring 2015 non-renewable housing application is now available. We encourage non-renewable applicants to seek accommodations off campus due to a lack of available space on campus.

Renewable Undergraduate Spring 2015
The Spring 2015 housing application is now available. The application and $1,000 reservation payment must be submitted by November 20, 2014 in order to secure guaranteed housing for the Spring 2015 academic year.

Renewable Undergraduate Fall 2015
The 2015-2016 Undergraduate Housing Reapplication & Room Selection is currently in progress. The Phase 1 deadline, March 12, 2015, has passed. Phase 2 - Room Selection will take place on March 30 through April 3, 2015."

There’s absolutely no correlation that non renewable = rejection. If anything, it could indicate wait listing? I think if someone were truly rejected, there wouldn’t even be an option for housing, therefore, I think this whole housing thing is nervous students eagerly anticipating decisions! HOPE THIS RELIEVED EVERYONE

I applied to Tisch for the Recorded Music program

Wait I just discovered something. Under financial aid summary is says

Financial Aid:
Aid Year: 2016
Institution: New York University
Aid Year Description: No financial aid data available.

But under accept/decline financial aid it says

Financial Aid:
Aid Year: 2016
Institution: New York University
Aid Year Description: award access not available.

Can everyone post in this format what they have for both sections so we can clear some confusion.

@arield‌ Mine is the exact same as yours.

@FilmMaker1‌ do you know if this is a good or a bad sign?
