they kept 5 total from the 30 on that call back. The rest I have no idea.

When you say “call back” for Elon, do you mean of those that passed the pre-screen and auditioned. Was there another round of “call backs” after the kids auditioned on campus?

I believe that Elon had about 30 audition in the early period. They made at least one offer from that that I know of. My S auditioned 2/20 and there were about 60 kids there that day.
@herewegomom I have heard of some nos from Penn State through the portal this week. I have not heard of any acceptances but there certainly could have been some as I know statuses have been changing.
Today (about an hour ago) my D’s Penn State portal changed to this:
“We are in the final stages of review of your application and an admission decision will be posted here in the coming days.”
Same. Ugh!!!
In the fall, we were told there were at total of 26 kids invited to audition on campus for the two fall dates. There were only 13 at my d’s audition day on Halloween. She received a “no” in December. It seems like they shifted their strategy for the audition dates after the new year and there were many more invited to each date.
My daughter’s Penn State said the same thing and later last night it became a No. Better luck to you guys!

The only kids who auditioned for Elon in the Fall were the kids who were able to get their pre-screens in by September 15th, thus the small audition numbers. I had a conversation with Cathy McNeela the day after the first audition date and she said then that just getting through the pre-screen was the equivalent of a call-back. She also said that she was enjoying the small Fall audition numbers because the Winter auditions all would have 60-ish kids auditioning. I haven’t heard of any acceptances from Elon, they seem to be sticking with a mid-March notification date.
I know a couple of Elon acceptances. Both are boys.
My son just got wait listed for Penn State MT. Wondering in the past years how many actually get off of the wait list…sigh.
What we heard at the Elon audition day was that they had 250 prescreens for the fall and only invited 26. They decided to be very selective which is why the rejection was even more disappointing. Curious as to what the numbers were for the Jan-Feb dates. Any numbers given? It made for a lovely audition experience.

Elon MT has 3 audition dates in February: Feb 13, 20, 27
