@tmygirl, tell us about the IU audition. Obviously it went well, did your son feel like he had done that well?
What did they say to him? Just looking for clues for kids to figure out how they have done. Some folks on here
say that their kids walk out feeling like it went great, and then it’s a no, and vice versa, think it went poorly, and
get an offer! Just wondered what your son’s take on it was, now that we know the outcome!

@jsr1900 He said he did his material and they said thank you. He said that was it. It went really fast. They didn’t ask him any questions just a thank you when it was done. When I first saw him I said how did u do? He said, I guess ok, it went fast and they said thank you and it was over

My son’s experience was almost identical to tmygirl’s S. The only question they asked him was 'Where are you from?". That was it. He felt good about his audition but really had no idea what anyone else thought. This was his first audition so we have nothing to compare it to yet.

My daughter felt great at most of her auditions and got NO’s…the one she thought she tanked she got a yes…no rhyme or reason…

@gsomtmom how do I get to the acceptance list thread?

@Patrice13, just go to the top of this screen, click on “musical theatre major” a list will come up. Find “Acceptances class of 2019” and post per instructions.

I sent a message to the moderator to pin them when she gets the chance. Hopefully, that will happen soon.

Thanks @GSOMTMom!!
BAL To all auditioning this wknd!!! Safe travels!!!

Those of you headed for Ohio to audition for BW- use extra care, winter has come for an early visit!

Ugh! Yikes!! Thanks for the update!

Thank you, @toowonderful… I wondered about lake-effect snow. The W side of MI has it… but we’re clear here. Hopefully it’ll be an easy go.

anyone out there heading to Coastal carolina?? Our plane leaves in3 hours!!!

BAL @MTkellbell !!! Safe travs!!

Sounds like IU has totally changed its acceptance strategy this year. Last year they had no auditions until after the first of the year, and then did not accept students until all auditions were done in March(?). My S was a VERY lucky exception and received a call from George on the Monday following his audition. Loved the program, but have to agree about OOS tuition hike and had to turn it down - even though S received a VERY nice merit scholarship (one of the highest they offered OOS students) from the university and a talent scholarship from the BFA program. We even went back to the scholarship department after his February acceptance, but it was too late for them to make any additional offers. I REALLY hope IU is able to do more for OOS students this year. Perhaps these “early” acceptances are a sign of financial aid changes to come.

Best of luck to those traveling to auditions this weekend. Winter is indeed coming a little early to the Ohio region.

Generally it is the OTHER side of town from BW that gets hammered with Lake effect snow- so may not be as intense, but still, use caution

@mom4bwayboy ok now I am very curious – they told the auditioning group there was no talent money to speak of at IU. And I believe the Merit is reserved for tippy top students. So let me know. Maybe you can pm me.

@mom4bwayboy and @tramsmom You and me both LOL!!!

Has anyone else heard from TSU?

@Patrice13, we had a ‘no’ email late (5pm EST) on Wednesday. :(

We heard from TSU November 6th, submitted October 27th. My daughter got a yes
. We still haven’t heard from ITHACA though, submitted October 27th too.
