It is a bit surreal here - kid just got accepted to the Honors College of one of his audition schools, but no artistic decision yet. And then he tells me that he was academically accepted to one of his other audition schools- which he had neglected to mention to me. No artistic decision there yet either.
Just found out that Carnegie acceptances go out next week. Texas State and Shenandoah started acceptances today. Pace acting today and Pace MT this week. [-O<
That’s wonderful @brightstaral … they were trying to get us there but she has a show that opens on Wed so we wouldn’t have been able to make it. I’m guessing y’all are in AL. Do you know where the kids go after graduation from BSC? How would they launch from there?

@DrowsyChaperone Shenedoah actually was making calls last week with a number of acceptances announced already. Not sure if those calls are still ongoing although it does seem like waitlist announcements haven’t gone out yet.

CMU is notorious for being about a week late. Our year (2015) MT acceptances went out by letter on March 27 and phone calls followed. In our case the call came on the 28th and we got the Big Fat Envelope on the 30th. And yes, Texas State calls started today. It usually takes a few days (2-3) for all the calls to be made.
I shared an elevator with Barbara McKenzie Wood at Unifieds. That’s my claim to fame! Maybe she’ll remember how I pushed the correct button for her & she’ll look kindly on my D.
Okay … Im just sharing what we were told on our coach’s page, that she spoke with Barbara today and Barbara told her that acceptances would be going out the week of the 13th.
It’s very exciting & while an incredible long shot, there are no doubt lots of hopefuls (like my D) who are holding on to the dream of a CMU admit. Thanks @DrowsyChaperone!

@sopranomtmom I think they have made wait list notifications. Not sure if they are done making calls but I know that I was put on Priority Hold at Shenandoah last week, and I saw someone else on the board had as well. I assumed they were done notifying for the time being but perhaps not.
Hi, S got into Cincinnati with generous aid (international student). Seriously considering but very concerned about safety in Cincinnati,both on and off campus. Can anyone advise me on this, please? @itsgettingreal17, please share any info. Thanks!
@Neverfalter99 I don’t have a child that went to CCM, but a dear friend and we auditioned there. It reminded of any type of city school. You just have to be cautious. I thought the buildings and facilities were beautiful!

Good morning all! We’re up early here for our local musical theatre award nominations this morning. Very exciting!
Sophomore mom here to learn all she can… I have my color-coded spread sheet of info ready to go and I appreciate so much what you all are sharing and going through. I can relate a bit as we’re waiting on my oldest’s results from her nursing application. Apps were due in January but results aren’t expected until the end of March. Ugh…
Anyway, does anyone have any feedback on how the prescreens or auditions went with Texas State? It’s very high on my D’s list, but I really don’t see much on CC about it or the process.
