Because here’s a thing… the stress and tension that many of you are feeling right now doesn’t end with getting into the BFA… there is always another hurdle - especially in a profession that is so subjective and judgement based
My S did a walk-in with Utah at Chicago Unifieds. They seemed interested and saw him again later in the day. But no news at all. He also did walkin at Northern Colorado and got that acceptance yesterday.

@guillaume Congratulations on your acceptance to CCM! My D was accepted to CCM’s BFA Acting program, and she got information last week from them about some academic scholarship money. Also, when I had called their financial aid dept a few weeks ago, they told me that complete financial aid information comes out “after March 31st”, so we are wondering if there is more info still to come around that time about potential talent scholarships. ?? That’s all I know!
My son did a walk in for Utah at NYC Unifieds. He received his academic acceptance last week and I’ve been told from a friend whose daughter attends school there for MT that an artistic letter should be sent a week later.
@Janine1 Thanks so much for the information! When was she admitted? Did you receive information about academic scholarships with her acceptance letter?
@guillaume All communication from CCM has been via email. She got an email with news about admission on Feb 21, she got an email with instructions about how to register for and set up her student portal (called Catalyst) on Feb 26, and then she got an email on Feb 27 telling her to log into her Catalyst account because there was news about an academic scholarship award in there. She called them a day or so after her admissions notice to ask about how to set up a Catalyst account (because there was some reference to it in the initial admissions emails), and they told her on the phone that admitted students should get their instructions about how to set up their Catalyst account within two weeks at the latest after getting their admissions notice and “if you haven’t received that information within that time frame you should call back”. Like I said, though, that info did come a few days later.

Knowing this feeling of waiting as well. Doesn’t help that next week is hell week for his show… so he is hearing results as he is trying to stay in a good head space for the musical
Okay so what’s the deal with Michigan MT. I heard they sent out waitlists over email, denials through snail mail and are calling on Friday. Can anyone confirm?
@Alcoka1 Congrats on your S’s Northern Colorado acceptance! Was that for acting or MT? Still waiting on our news.
@EIS0301 my D’s portal updated first, she and I had a bad case of ORD (Monday morning update to portal) and then an email followed a few hours after the portal changed. We had one acceptance to UMich and one decline (acting). Both were delivered through the portal and via email. Odd that MT would be different…but not surprising.
VENTING: Who said they wished more schools released at the same time on the same day? I completely disagree. Knowing that BW’s decision is coming in 24 hours is so much more unnerving than a general sometime over the next three weeks notice. I swear I can hear the clock ticking down for BW. Tic tock. Tic Tock. It is like I’m in an Edgar Allen Poe novel, only with less actual horror and less blood shed. You know, you can read the venting posts from last year or the year before during this time frame and never quite understand how stressful it is until you go through it.

@EIS0301’ thank you, the “NO” from UMich acting was a very tough rejection to get. The “yes” on Feb 28th was for VP, the portal changes and a button shows up with the word “see decision” on it…I believe. Or very similar. I’m sorry…I was not in the room where it happened. Lol! I might be listening to too much Hamilton.

Has anyone heard any news on decision dates for SUNY, DePaul, or Emerson?? Also have all the calls been made for Pace?
@LAM2017 Hofstra is awesome we looked there saw there production and my D has a good friend there who is so happy! Great campus and school pride too.
