D’s classmate notified by Pace MT today. She was accepted.

This is nothing new for this page, nothing even interesting, just a mom who is OVER IT! I’m so tired of waiting and this is the only place I can say it. I try to be patient and supportive during this maddening time for our D because I can only imagine her stress. I just really needed to say it today. Thank you for listening!
@twomonkeysnme SUNY Purchase says each year that they will notify “by March 15th” but someone said previously in this thread that despite that, it was later than March 15 last year. DePaul has said they will notify in “mid-March”.
This may be a stupid question but when you say your S or D found out via the portal, are you talking about where they submitted their applications?

@cwp1013 Yes, it will usually be the portal they submitted through or the link they sent your after submission to track application. I’m sure if you ask about specific schools, people can tell you where to find it. Best wishes!!!
@LAM2017 I don’t live far from Hofstra and have been to their musicals for the past few years. I have been impressed with the shows that I have seen. However, the surrounding area is awful. Half the campus is on one side of a major road with a walkway over the road. I would ask a lot of students about everyday life on campus. There doesn’t seem to be any type of downtown area that you can walk to. Also, I have heard Hofstra advertise that they are so close to NYC for auditioning. That would be a stretch.
There have been presidential debates there quite a few times which is exciting for them when that happens.
@cwp1013 Yes. Some colleges have “portals” where you can see your application status and other things. Not all do though. I guess it depends on what you were told at auditions or through other email/mail communications.
Thank you @bwaygirl1. That’s what we need, some honest opinions. We will definitely ask those questions. Like what do they do for fun if there is no “in town” or “down town” area to go out to eat or just hang out somewhere other than on campus.
@twomonkeysnme My D got a letter from SUNY Purchase last week that was a No for BFA acting, but she was accepted in their school. DePaul on campus if you didn’t get a call back you were done and we were. My D says Emerson is Mid March per the company FB page. So if you haven’t heard maybe thats a good sign!

@KarenK99 Thank you for the blog post suggestion! As I wait with all of you - remembering the pain of no email, or no snail mail, or phone call, or getting a “redirection” letter, or hooray, an acceptance! and feeling the ups and downs with you, my D is about to graduate. All of my non-MT friends want to know if she’s going to New York to “be on Broadway.” What she’s really doing is going to as many auditions as she can, doing well in some, not getting callbacks in others, trying to learn all of her songs and lines for the spring show, setting up her website, preparing for Showcase, going to classes … the list seems endless! I sent a link to the blog to her, but I’m not sure if she’ll have time to read it. I think wherever she lands after graduation (and that may not be NYC until she’s saved some money) she will be fine - happy is what we hope for. 
Those of us who have already been where you all are now, or those coming up - we feel for you and remember it so vividly and want all of your children to do well, and most of all be happy where they land!
My D also got the NO from SUNY Purchase in early Feb I believe. No news is good news I guess!

Does anyone know if all the Pace acceptances went out today or if they do a few each day? Haven’t heard anything yet and I’m just curious
On Pace Admissions 2017 thread, Pace said it would take a week for all calls to be made. Post was around noon today.
