@Theatrical … my D is a Nebraska Wesleyan kid and LOVES it. We were in a very similar situation as you 2 years ago and had to readjust late in the game. Thanks to this board we were able to get several late auditions on the calendar - in fact, my D didn’t even audition for NWU til mid March. There are several schools still holding auditions … Nebraska wasn’t even on our radar at the beginning of the process. And now, two years later, there is no place my kiddo would rather be.
@Theatrical Western Kentucky University you can apply for Pre BFA program in MT and audition after the third semester. Lots of performance opportunities, beautiful campus and close to Nashville.
@Theatrical @DramaMama603 I am in Tampa right now! My nephew got married here last night and since my daughter was already admitted to the university of Tampa I made her go on a tour on Thursday. It was really great! it’s spring break so no students were around and we didn’t visit the theater department, but the school is really amazing! Can’t beat the weather and the whole vibe here is really cool. I could totally see you living here someday. And as much as my daughter didn’t want to go on the tour she had to admit it was pretty nice!

My D was accepted to Pace’s Acting for FTVC yesterday via phone call from the director 
D waitlisted at Wagner. She is a bit bummed since it is high on her list. They said it is a short list so we wait and see. Waiting on 4 more
@marg928 @Theatrical We toured Tampa in November. We weren’t expecting to love it as much as we did. Their campus is gorgeous and their MT program heads were educated at BoCo. The program seems great and there is a good possibility my daughter will be attending there in Fall. We are still anxiously awaiting results from Pace.
@LBSMOM Waitlist is a really horrible, but knowing that it is a short list is wonderful. Make sure your D sends a note to let them know how very interested she is in attending. Keep us posted on whether she gets in. I was thinking that maybe we can start a waitlist thread to commiserate, let others know how many are on same waitlist, celebrate successes and prepare each other as the schools take kids off the WL. I feel your pain.

So happy for all those yeses and WLs out there, but, TBH a bit jealous. What about a no acceptances, no waitlist, desperation thread? I am a Debbie Downer right now. Out of 12 auditions we have four rejections. Nos from Rider (a surprise since the auditor gave such positive feedback), Ithaca (D’s 1st choice) and Wright State (2nd choice). A redirect from Ball State. Still waiting on Elon, Roosevelt, Point Park, Viterbo, Syracuse, OCU and our last audition at Millikin on the 24th. Are we the only ones on CC in this boat? Trying to stay strong and she’s taking it like a champ! Thanks for letting me vent.
@ALS0830 I know how you feel. We were in that exact place 3 years ago. I wanted so badly to be able to add even one school to the acceptance thread 
We never got an admit until April when she came off of one waitlist. She had the most amazing audition experience with Montclair and thought for sure she was in. Nope… encourage your D to look at all her safeties and really begin to find something there that she loves… it sucks I know…
@ALS0830 you are not the only one! We are all no’s so far and waiting on 1 more decision. Pretty certain we will not have any BFA acceptances. We are so new to the whole MT thing and did not make a very realistic list.
even though my D has gotten some BFA acceptances, none are any we can afford yet! Such a roller coaster! Still waiting!!! We needed a financial safety school!!

@mabel15 … There is still time to readjust and refocus! There are several schools that are still auditioning … I was in your exact shoes two years ago and misjudged this entire process. But thanks to the wonderful people here on CC I was able to get additional auditions scheduled. Don’t give up hope!! A BFA acceptance is not out of reach yet!
I just looked at my spreadsheet and had noted the schools last auditions dates. These schools still have upcoming audition dates:

Millikin - 3/24/17
Oakland University - 3/25/17
U of Arts - 4/8/17
Western Michigan - 3/17/17
I’m not sure why it isn’t listed but I’m auditioning at Millikin April 8th
Millikin audition for 3/24 is full but they actually have a 4/8 date as well. My D is scheduled to audition that day.
