Northern Kentucky is another with an audition coming up (I believe). They only hold a couple audition days–one in the fall and this one in the spring. We thought D would be very happy there; they seemed to value individualized training, and they were quite personable. I know of a couple people who have transferred from much bigger name programs to NKU and have found their fit there. The cost is low, too.
@mtpassionate99 She was accepted academically back in December, prior to Unifieds, but placed in “undeclared”. Then last week she received a letter stating “Congratulations, you been accepted to Monclair, however, you didn’t get into MT. Please consider attending the school in the fall and trying MT again next year.” IT was annoying to say the least. It’s ok, wherever she lands it’s alright with her.
You have no idea how much better I feel after reading everyone’s posts! The past few months have been so stressful for my daughter and me (mom) going through the application and audition process, waiting for responses, and dealing with rejection. It’s such a helpless feeling watching your kid go through rejection.
My daughter applied to 12 schools for MT, had 10 in-person auditions (just cancelled the last one to a “safety school”), and these are the numbers so far:
3 complete rejections- one was the Montclair “no to MT but come here undeclared” 
1 admitted for BA dance only (not really a dance school, though, and the program is totally separate from MT)
1 admitted for BA acting only
3 admitted for MT- whew! My daughter actually smiled for the first time in months!
3 responses still to come, although one is Pace and they made their phone calls last week, so we’re guessing it’s a no
I keep telling my daughter to be grateful for the opportunities she has received, even if they weren’t her top choices. It will all work out.
Anyway, just discovered these forums last week. Wish I had known earlier!

@ALS0830 UWSP sent an email to my son on Tuesday, but based on the verbiage in the email, sounds like they are doing it over time. Something like…We are starting to build our MT class and would like to invite you…
@Alcoka1 Just curious, did you already have UWSP set up on Acceptd or did you only apply academically to the university?
Did anyone do walk-ins at Unifieds without applying to the college. My D walked in Cornish and Univ of AZ, no formal application for admission. Univ of AZ sends her 10 emails/spam a week. I don’t want to unsubscribe because she’s been asked to attend “Wildcat Days” where she can fill out her application and they can tell her immediately if she is accepted academically.
7 more schools STILL left: 4 more BFA programs and 3 more BA programs. Expecting most if not all to be rejections. Wish this could just be over and done with now so we could plan out spring break visits and have some idea of what our financial commitment is going to be come August. We are in this till the bitter end I fear.

My daughter was also accepted to BW acting. She is thrilled and really wants to go. She had thought she wanted musical theater but after visiting the school and hearing about the program she loved it. It seems to be the best of both worlds! Excited for her!
@beachymom My S is so happy to have choices 2 BFA-MT and 1 BA-MT, but the 7 colleges that he still has to hear from, plus two wait lists, makes this process exhausting beyond belief. I know S and I are not alone in this waiting fatigue. Just want to rip the band aid off all at once and be done with the unknowns so we can finally make some decisions. Anyone have a fast forward button?
