I would love to hear from the parents who attend the UArts day on Sunday. At this point it is one of my D’s top choices. We can’t start to make any final decisions until we hear from schools still outstanding and she is on a couple of waitlists for schools she loves as well. But she really likes the curriculum there and the idea of going to school in the heart of such an artistic environment with such a great urban setting really appeals to her. I’m not sure we will be able to swing a visit so any feedback you can share would be most appreciated!
@EIS0301 Michigan is a top top school and if you can do it with in state tuition that is a big plus!

S got an email yesterday inviting him to a locally held reception for University of Hartford on Thursday. Problem is we haven’t heard back from them at all re: his Chicago Unifieds audition. He was told that he met academic standards immediately prior to auditioning, but WTH??? Seems like Hartt has both emailed and mailed notifications of acceptances and mailed notifications of rejections. Is anyone else still waiting for Hartt? Does anyone have insight into the reception email? It is not an invitation to a campus admitted students day. That would be a tad easier to interpret…
@MomofMTBoy We’re still waiting - have been told S met academic requirements, got invited to a local day about the University, but notbing direcy from Hartt. He auditioned on campus Feb 17th.
@MomofMTBoy My D has received neither an acceptance or rejection, and received an email and call about a reception. Most definitely for people admitted to the University-not the Hartt School.
Hartt was one of the last ones we heard from. We auditioned at LA unifieds and did not get our rejection first week of April.
@evitasmom did your D speak to them during the call or email to back to confirm that the email about the reception didn’t mean anything?

D auditioned for Hartt after Chicago/LA unifieds and has only received academic criteria passed email.
@EIS0301 Great choice! I have heard Michigan doesn’t often offer spots to in state kids – you must have wow’d them!!!
@Eliza806 - same here. Auditioned Chicago Unifieds & not a peep. Thinking it’s a no since acccepted BFA have been receiving emails.
@MTMHopeful It’s possible that they have made all of the final decisions for February auditions, but I am aware that there have been decisions being made all along (rolling) - after on-campus auditions pre-unifieds, after NY unifieds, etc. It’s possible that at some point they combine all the Feb. auditions and those are the calls they are making over the last week, but we really don’t know at what stage of the evaluations they are at. My D was in the last weekend on-campus batch. Best of luck!
Son just came home and told us Hartford texted him today about the reception. They also called him about the reception and left a message. Emailed him about the reception. Definitely the University of Hartford not Hartt, but really??? Isn’t that a bit overkill for a kid who hasn’t been told whether he’s in or not?
We got an off-campus invite in the mail. Our daughter was accepted into the University already. Would be nice to know about the artistic!

I have heard of a lot of people waiting for Hartt artistic results. My D received her acceptance via snail mail (big envelope). She auditioned at NY Unifieds and heard back about 3 weeks later. She was never academically admitted. It all came at once. No phone calls or emails from them. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear. March is almost over!
