D has had a cold since Tuesday am. Elon audition tomorrow and Western Carolina on Saturday. Both programs are high on her list. We both would really like to conclude auditions next Saturday (East Carolina); but I told her she needs to make a decision in the next hour or two as to whether she should call the schools and beg to reschedule 
We know that they have audition dates-but who knows if they have an open slot?!? Ugh; we had been doing so well, health-wise.

@owensfolks I would encourage you not to do this unless they absolutely have later dates and she feels horrible. I could be wrong but I feel like many schools build classes as they go. My child was accepted with a scholarship and honors college to a school that we were unable to attend the audition because of weather. She sent in a video audition and I don’t think they ever looked it. It was an odd rejection but I really think they already built their class. It wasn’t Elon or western Carolina. Best of luck with this agonizing decision.
Oh no! My D had a terrible cold during the Chicago Unifieds and her auditions were definitely affected.
That is such a bummer!
We will be at American this weekend too - we toured the college in the fall and it is an absolutely beautiful campus.
@Ducky312 I have to disagree with you. I think any school having auditions will give a student a shot. My S was accepted into a program where he was the very last audition, on the very last audition date in 2015. He was at the next to last audition for the school he currently attends. Now video submits, I’m not sure. I know people accepted via videos and I know some who feel that it is never really considered. I wish we had more transparency with this process, but for now I have to believe any school still auditioning will still consider you.

Does anyone know how many people Elon usually accepts? I know they aim for a 16-20 people class. What about Shenandoah and The BoCo?
BoCo said the audition around 900 for 100 spots to yield 60.
Anybody else out there apply to RCS? We applied back in December and have had such a hard time with the UCAS site. Every time we try to log- on - it tells my daughter her password is wrong and then she has to set up a new one. We also are having trouble with our application to another UK school and are about ready to give up…
@singoutlouise my D did a walk in for RCS but they never said to apply so we didn’t.
