Following everyone’s audition journeys is like reading a novel…BAL to all! This weekend marks another senior ‘last time’ for a local fundraiser pageant our S has been involved with for most of his HS career…bittersweet, these ‘lasts’…because my S auditioned early in fall and received acceptance at the dream school, (SEMO) we are done. It gives me a bit too much time to think about how dearly I will miss him when he leaves, and second-guess advice and decisions made this year. Better get to mailing out this week’s round of local scholarship apps!
BAL to all auditioning this weekend! We left our home yesterday for an 8-hour drive to Wright State, had an accident 10 miles from home (D driving, but not her fault), waited for police, drove down the road another hour until lights came on dashboard saying “go to nearest Toyota dealer,” ended up having to leave my car at a body shop and rent a car to drive the rest of the way. Whew! Got in late last night to WSU and just dropped my D off for master class - she was so excited! She said, “Even if I don’t get in, I get to spend the whole day doing something I love.” Kind of makes it all worthwhile, doesn’t it?
@KarenK99 - what a harrowing audition travel experience! At least snow was not involved. Hope you D enjoys her day at WSU. And BAL to her for her audition.

It’s a kind “no thank you” from CCM at Chicago Unifieds. It made me laugh that the email stated she should log-in and “follow directions carefully”. OK… she will carefully not be attending CCM.
My Ds Rider portal was updated this morning from Chicago Unifieds in case anyone is anxiously waiting.
@KarenK99 BAL at Wright State - so sorry for the bad day yesterday! Hoping fun day today will more than make up for it. My D will be going to lunch with the auditioning students today & also helping with auditions tomorrow!
I honestly would not cancel. Most schools are at the end of their selection process. Same thing happened to my S and we just medicated best he could and he went for it. This was his CCM audition and he is actually on hold with them right now. Better then not going anyway.
@MTMHopeful sorry to hear, but onward we all go. It seems like a LOT of notifications went out today!
@KarenK99 my girl was a stressed out mess and is sitting alone at lunch. 
So…looks like a rejection letter in the mail today…(& .yes I am trying to read thru the envelope!)…First one, so it will be a blow…D just said yesterday…“Mom you think I will get at least one more acceptance , right?” “Well, yes I do think you will get at least one more.”…
So… this process is difficult, no? Sigh…Moving on…

At Sam Houston State today for D’s 15th audition. One more to go at Wagner on the 26th and then we wait. Sigh BAL everyone auditioning this weekend.

@MTMHopeful So sorry for your daughter. Was the decision posted on her CCM portal? The site says they don’t release decisions until 5pm on Fridays. This whole process is baffling!
Have been informed that envelopes are waiting at home. Thinking this could be one of those multiple rejection days. Jeez colleges… Spread them out a little!

sorry @MTMHopeful. We haven’t heard from any school in quite a while. I am not sure if that’s good or bad. We may be getting hit with those rejections all at once!
