Class of 2022 (the journey); sharing, venting, discussing

@Trish0118 Lol. It’s just the academic acceptance invite. But I know what you mean…I freak out because we haven’t received any of the multiple phone calls that people talk about…NONE… and we’re still sock-less from Montclair…lol. Taking it in stride though…

@MThopeful2022 SAME!

Muhlenberg is not giving decisions until the end of the month; I believe I heard March 26th they would be sending them out.

I’m not allowed to tell my daughter what goes on here because it stresses her out so much. She doesn’t want to think about anything until she gets the notification. She got mad when I warned her of the PP email. LOL

@MTdreamz I don’t dare speak of anything College related until she brings it up. Lol

Mine finds it helpful actually. She keeps asking me if anyone on CC has heard from Purchase yet.

CC was especially helpful with UNCSA. Because of CC, we knew that rejections were being sent out by mail, while acceptances were by phone call. My D and I were at Hartt when my husband texted “A college letter came today!” with a photo of the envelope from UNCSA. Without CC, we would have been excited and hopeful to get that letter, only to be crushed to open it and find a rejection. But because of CC, we knew a letter was bad news, so at least we were prepared for it.

Fingers crossed for everyone waiting to hear from PPU this week!

@emdcollege our dancer girls are 2 peas in a pod! Emotions and tensions are high. I will be keeping my thoughts to myself tonight! LOL

Oklahoma MT rejection emails are going out. Luckily my D has several other options that make her happy. I hope it’s better news for other CCers.

My son is currently on a school trip now and the last thing he told me is he really hopes to get in to OU as he loved the program. Well, I am devastated as he just got the rejection email. As soon as he gets off the airplane he will see it and I am so sad for him. We have nothing and it is getting to the end. This SUCKS.

I am so sorry @HopeinMT It is such an unfair process

That is heartbreaking @HopeinMT - hang in there!

This is a difficult process for sure. My D is a lighting tech major hopeful. She has been accepted to University of Arizona’s Conservatory both academically and artistically but still waiting for notice on artistic acceptance for Webster. Her portfolio interview was in November!

I’m so sorry, @HopeinMT . :frowning:

Does anyone have knowledge about Lindenwood’s BA Theatre program? D was redirected with a nice personal note from the director to BA Theatre with a merit scholarship and encouragement to work hard on a couple specific areas and re-audition into the BFA MT in 2019. We are in a very rural area hours away from any real cultural centers and D has very little formal training. We tried to make a mixed list: reach schools, mid-range programs, and a couple safety schools. We are yet to make the leap into BFA land. Redirected to either BM Voice w/double major or minor in Theatre, one BFA Acting still possible (IWU), or BA Theatre. Dance skills definitely need work. Just trying to gauge if schools really ever work with a freshman BA Theatre student to get them to the level where they can compete for a BFA MT spot? She’s received both generous academic and merit scholarship offers from Lindenwood making it at the top of the “most affordable” list…lol. We all have multiple lists, right? But worried about being treated less-than-worthy by the BFA students and/or the promise to work hard and be a good candidate for next year being just a sales pitch. Thoughts?

@HopeinMT I’m so sorry.

Has anyone heard anything from UWSP yet?

I got the same PPU email. Very funny :smiley:
You read “We are delighted to…” and your heart jumps until you get to “…hear of your interest in Point Park’s Conservatory programs!” Aww man…

I don’t know what my favorite part of today was…the PPU email or the phone call from Pace asking if my D was still interested in her academic acceptance :))

Yes - No vocal lessons for Freshman/Soph and can’t audition for main stage until Junior year at CMU…Kinda a bummer if you like to sing…
