Class of 2024 Acting Artistic Acceptance Notifications: How/When/Where

Uof Ok Helmerich SOD must be rolling. My son found out he’d been accepted soon after auditioning back in October. Not sure about the No’s though.

Does anyone know when/how FSU notifies? Thanks!

How exactly did UMN Guthrie communicate callback invites and rejections/redirects? (Accepted, Gopher acct, email?)

@prarie via email. I would check spam and contact Deb Pearson if you didn’t get a reply.

I heard University of Michigan has already started announcing admitted BFA acting students. Anyone else hear anything?

Has anyone head from LMU?

@ActingM regarding UMich acting, we understood we would find out end of Feb…you know some people who have already heard? Do you know if they received phone calls or what?

Yes, a boy from our school was notified he had been accepted on Friday. Not sure yet how he found out.

@ActingM for what it’s worth the UMichigan results did come out during Presidents’ Week last year, so there will be a clear answer (yes or no) sometime pretty soon. I think last year acceptances came by phone call, waitlist came by email, and the portals were updated shortly thereafter. The calls and emails dribbled out over the course of a few days, and last year it was just after presidents’ weekend that it all happened.

@ActingM I heard some more info. UMichigan calls did indeed go out.

North Central College is rolling and notified by text , followed by email and then snail mail . Syracuse notified Early Decision on December 17th via email with a link to decision. Merit aide was included with acceptance letter and financial aide package was sent early January. We know of 5 people who were accepted ED for Acting at Syracuse .

This list is being updated so that we only have the 2020 information on here. Please update as you have information. Thanks!

@mommyMT

I checked the FSU website and couldn’t find any information about notification of decisions. Hopefully someone else can answer that even if they send a private message. If you do find out how and when please let us know and we will add it to the list.

@mommyMT and @anastasiasmom - the person to ask is the FSU rep @All4FSU - Tagging her here to see if she can help you out.

@CaMom13 Thanks for the tag- I never would have seen this.

@mommyMT and @anastasiasmom Our last MT audition day is 2/23 and we see everyone before we make decisions. Admitted students will receive a phone call; alternates (wait list) will receive a letter in the mail; declined students will receive an email. I am hoping to have results out somewhere between February 27th and March 2nd, but the applicants have definitely made it difficult to make decisions!

Edit: Ahhh…just noticed that this is in the Theatre/Drama section. BFA Acting decisions were made last week. Notifications will be the same as above, but for Acting they will happen this week.

Take care,
Michele Diamonti
