@Illinoismom23 Thanks for that information. I called too, and they just said “we were able to get some of the applications reviewed early. Everyone who applied Early will be notified by mid-December.” I asked if it was just In-State students and not OOS that would be notified, and she didn’t really answer that.
My daughter got her email at 5:02pm EST on Nov. 15th. We are in state. It looks like it was only in state kids that had applied early action. My daughters stats are well above the average and she did apply to the honors program. She had submitted that application the night before. I am wondering if that actually triggered the admittance being early.
Two others from our neighborhood and my son’s girlfriend all heard Friday. They go to the same high school in the Columbia metro area.
It sounds like that had one batch of acceptances to South Carolina residents at 5:00 EST. I haven’t heard of anyone getting deferred or denied, and no one from OOS has said they’ve heard anything.

5:00 EST has come & gone. I bet I don’t hear anything for another four weeks.
One of the kids that heard last name starts with R so it’s not alphabetical! Does your child to to a large high school Upstate?
haha! That theory was obviously wrong. My daughter goes to Wade Hampton High in Greenville, SC. Class of 390, not super large. But she has great stats, top 2% of her class. Maybe they admitted early by stats?
Has anyone from oos received notification? Is the notification via the portal?
Was anyone accepted into Marine Science? Have all acceptances come via email?
@middling and @afbratmama I haven’t heard anything on my end, but it seems that some SC residents did receive notice through email, then were told to check the portal. So, I would assume that it will be the same for everyone. I haven’t heard of any OOS student being notified of an acceptance yet. I also haven’t heard of anyone being denied.
Also, it looks like Friday, Nov 15th was the only day when acceptances were sent out. Nothing since that day. Based on my brother’s experience last year, we won’t hear anything more until this Friday.
Son said last night a whole bunch of kids at his HS heard Friday. Not sure of all their stats of course, but from the ones he named, he said a mixture of very high to average.
Since I am OOS, I am thinking that I will hear later. Also, when I called AO, the girl working there said she was OOS and did not hear until several weeks after a lot of in-state kids heard.

My son got his Tiger Bound Biological Sciences acceptance in the mail today. We’re in PA. Told he qualified for a scholarship. Amount to be determined in Feb. Good luck to all!

I think my DD is doing fine, but the wait is killing me. I am not a very patient person so this is much for me. lol!
