@fclspat any luck with getting your money back from Syracuse. I can see where you may want her closer but someone said to me the other day 'What difference would it really make" So if by chance you have to go and get her you would drive a few more hours but you are not keeping her safer by being closer in distance.
@jgwolf my daughter is still noodling the decision (though I think she is leaning Carolina). She was waiting for her actually physical letter to arrive, but seems like there is only an online version. She is really conflicted. Im telling go where her heart takes her.
After some research, I found out that the Syracuse housing deposit of $495 is refundable until May 15. So I will only be haggling over the other $500.
I believe we will get physical letters also. My friend that got in EA…it took him over 2 weeks to get the letter and he lives about 3 around from Columbia.
Does anyone have any predictions about that will happen this fall?
You will know by June 15th. The president of UofSC has said they are working on a plan for several options. Everything you may hear is just opinion since no one really knows anything yet

yes i am very impressed by the president. Not sure if you watched the town hall last week. if not you can catch it online. I saw UVA President on TV this morning and he seemed unsure what they along with other Va schools are doing right now.
@jgwolf I didn’t even have to haggle! Syracuse refunded both the room deposit and spot in the class. $950!
I know someone where same thing happened at Virginia Tech. The got into a wait list school and VT refunded deposit. Did your daughter get her dorm assignment?
