Class of 2024 Early Action Thread

Michigan does not consider race, ethnicity or religious affiliation as factors in their admission. Now if you’re a “first generation” (to go to college) or display personal qualities and character traits UMich is seeking via your application, then those factors are important.

A boilerplate tweet that is posted every year. They’re not trying to insinuate that decisions will be made on 12/24.

it said it right at the top… and now her profile changed to admitted student. she got an email saying her account was updated.

University of Michigan will be releasing their EA decisions Thursday, December 19th around 3pm Eastern Standard Time.

@Mrs. Block do you have any proof or that because all other evidence point to the 18th

University of Michigan will be releasing their EA decisions on Thursday, December 19th not the 18th.

This year they will be released on Thursday the 19th not Wednesday.

They do send emails out but you should check the portal on Wolverine Access on Thursday, Dec. 19th at 3pm Eastern Standard Time. That is when the EA decisions will be released. The email comes later on.

You mean Enrollment Connect, correct? Wolverine Access is no longer used for admissions from my understanding.

In the past 8 years, admissions decisions haven’t been released on a Thursday.

Would you know how many EA apps were submitted this year?

Last year they were released on the Wednesday before winter break. The UMich admissions counselor I had dinner with on Tuesday night told me they were being released on Thursday the 19th.

You are correct. I had dinner Tuesday night with a UMich admissions counselor and she said there will be a large number of deferrals because they had so many applications that they couldn’t get through all of them.

EA decisions are being released Thursday 12/19

I had dinner with a UMich Admissions Counselor on Tuesday evening EA decisions are being released on Thursday 12/19.

This year UMich is releasing their EA decisions on THURSDAY 12/19.

I had dinner with a UMich Admissions Counselor this past Tuesday, she said the EA decisions will be released THURSDAY 12/19.

A new poster comes online to state that UMich can’t get through all the EA applications? Again, every year? This same theory is postulated every year for the past 5-10 years?

I’m sorry, but students and parents reading this thread can come to their own conclusion, but a new poster citing the old Wolverine Access portal and also the theory about UMich not being able to get through all the EA apps is highly suspicious to me.

Again, folks, there are no guarantees of when EA decisions will be released, but here’s the last years of EA release dates:

Maybe the decisions will be released on a Thursday, I dunno, but historically, that’s not the case.

Last year’s admissions had over 60,000 applications for 6800 spots

@sushiritto this years applications were roughly the same as last year, over 60,000.
