Ugh
@diazzz789 how low are you taking? My ACT was a 28 which translates over to the 1300 range on SAT
just sayingâŠthey do defer everyone
Just a thought if they posted last year when they were going to release decisions then they are going to do it again so all this speculation is pointless.
@annonymous1010 So not true. Many EA are admitted. Lots are postponed/deferred. Not sure about rejections but I think there are some of those too. We went through the same thing two years ago with my D18.
if you get deferred do not be discouraged. you can still get in.
I think this is all pointless.I think it comes out at 7
@annonymous1010. Around 4,000 will be accepted EA. They defer a lot of people but not everyone. But keep in mind not everyone will accept which opens up more spots to RD kids.
says who? @knowitall1235
Last year they also said by 12/24
I thought they fill about 50% through EA
Just estimating⊠So about 3,400 then.
Iâll repeat this info again.
For the Class of 2022, there were almost 40,000 EA apps submitted. We donât have a breakdown for the Class of 2023, but the total amount apps were almost exactly the same.
@SingingBusDriver (a true UMich insider) stated that UMich accepted nearly 8,000 EA apps. Thatâs about 1/2 of the entire amount of acceptances for both EA and RD combined.
Yes, there will be lots of EA deferrals and there will also be rejections. Just not many, if any, here on CC. Why? You guys on CC are really smart. My kidâs HS Class of 2018 had EA rejections.
If deferred, there are typically waves of RD releases on or around 2/1, 3/1 and 4/1. As each wave is released, there are more and more rejections and waitlisted students. Meaning the % of acceptances decreases as time goes on. But letâs worry about that later.
has anyone heard yet? or is it not going to be posted today? I think it came out at around 3:00 pm CST last year so I feel like itâs too late
Maybe I shouldnât point this out now, but (I will) whatâs interesting, is that the waves of RD decisions in February, March and April typically came out around Midnight EST (mostly Thursday nights/Friday mornings), but not these EA releases.
@sushiritto⊠Thx
I was just going by the 50% accepted not those that applied total. Thx for clearing that up.
Oh no, what have you doneâŠ
me: im not gonna spend all day worrying about this. The decisions will come out when they do and I canât change it.
also me: constantly refreshes email checks portal for the 34567654th time spends all day on this thread
i relate to this way too much
I was so mentally prepared for a decision today-UGH! But we will all hold out⊠good luck everyone ?
