My son is so excited!

Given that Michigan is probably most popular public school choice for EA among students who are also applying to Ivy Plus schools ED and SCEA, it would be informative to know if posters have been accepted to an Ivy Plus early when posting Michigan results. I suspect there will be some interesting differences Accepted vs Postponed cohorts for those students holding an Ivy Plus acceptance.

  1. Accepted
  2. OOS
  3. LSA Political Science
  4. uwGPA: 3.6, wGPA: 4.2
  5. 1400 SAT (730 Spanish, 710 Italian)

I had a lot of strong ECs through clubs, community service, jobs, and just focusing on ECs for my intended major. My Common App essay was extremely personal and strong. My supplements were also very well written and I focused on the Race & Ethnicity requirement for LSA. I am a first-gen college student and a daughter of Hispanic immigrants, which I made sure to include in my application.

Could deferral for OOS depend on state?

A theory (now proven) was postulated back on Post #832, page 42, by @jimjung76:

If you don’t have the “x,” then you were deferred, based upon the results posted here today.

@deferred gang When do you plan to send your LOCI’s? Does anyone have any tips on writing my loci for Michigan?
