Class of 2024 - University of Connecticut

The semester goes by so fast. I know kids who have done the semester thing at the branch and loved it after transitioning to Storrs. They make friends, classes are good, and many times go stay up at Storrs on weekends with other friends. January comes in no time.

Email financial aid for sure! My son did that to make sure his FAFSA was received a few weeks ago and they emailed back.

yes… definitely appeal… its a hassle to transfer and hrtford though ok isnt the best campus.

Email the financial aid office but make sure you supply supporting documentation. You should have received an email from the US Department of Education indicating you’re FAFSA form was successfully processed. You can forward that. Also, go into your FAFSA application and verify UConn was listed among the colleges to receive the information. You can include a screenshot in your email to the FA office. Having this info will save you time and strengthen you case.

Does anyone have information about scholarships for Engineering students that you apply for? Are those for incoming freshmen?

I called UConn and they said they are still reviewing applications and will take couple of weeks. Is anyone else experiencing the same

Has anyone else gotten multiple updates to their decision? Or any decisions that just don’t make any sense?

@ohsoflex01
What kind of updates? What decision doesn’t make sense?

Any Uconn acceptees –
Is there a FB group chat for incoming freshmen? Can’t seem to find one.

Its called - UConn Class of 2024 (Official)

Is that just for Storrs or all?

It’s for everyone

Anyone know when mail packages are coming?

Did anyone else’s scholarship amounts change?

@bbb4856 got ours today. We are in Western Mass

my my son hasn’t checked since he originally received the amount. Just curious did yours go up or down?

My scholarship halved, from 10k to 5k

You should call to question. That’s not right.

Just check to see if you’re only looking at first semester, which would be 5k. Maybe you still have 10k for whole year

@philippians I reread my actual acceptance letter, which changed the scholarship amount from 10k on Friday to 5k today. This may have to do with my qualification for the New England Regional Tuition Break, but I am still going to contact them about this.
