@anna114141 , did you get some scholarship money with your acceptance? Have you heard back from the Getterman? You have an amazing SAT score! Congratulations!
@TXRunningMom
I got 84k (21k/year)
I didn’t get the Getterman’s invite
Thanks!!!
@anna114141 are you serious that you didn’t get a Getterman invite??? Holy Smokes! Your stats are awesome! Looking at last year’s numbers of 4 scholarships out of 400 who applied-it looks like a lottery ticket system to me anyway. I would have given you an invite!
Good Morning!
We are thrilled D got her acceptance last night right at 7:18pm!!!
I want to share this in case there is someone in the same situation wondering if they would be accepted. I honestly got a little discouraged because all the students here have great stats, but we were faithful she could get a chance, and we are so glad she applied!
My daughter did not do well on her SAT (1160,) but has good grades, great community service (her own charity in which she travels to Colombia every year to hand deliver school supplies to children in need) and 10 AP classes in her transcript (All A’s, a few B’s and one C, yes one C) She has also been part of the band program since 6th grade and is part of the NHS and other leadership positions in school.
She is preparing to take the SAT again and hopefully improve it by 40 points so she can get the $10k Scholarship.
All the glory to God!
I forgot to ask, do you receive the financial aid package with your official letter in the mail?
@PM81 not the full financial aid package, just the merit scholarships. I think the full package will be sent January or February .
@poundman Thank you!
Under the goBaylor “Application” tab, there is the deposit section and right below it the “Confirm your deposited student t-shirt size!” section, do we need to select that after we pay the deposit or it is ok to submit before payment?
FYI, D20 just got email acceptance into Honors Program. I’m guessing that other notices are going out today. Very exciting stuff! Good luck, everyone.
@PM81, a big congratulations to your daughter; so glad to hear she was accepted!! Best wishes to her as she retakes her SAT. As far as the t-shirt, I interpreted that to be something that is entered after you submit your deposit.
@colorado14, Thank you very much!
Is it bad i haven’t gotten in yet? I applied October 9th. I have decent stats. I’m ranked first in my class and my SAT score is a 1350. Do you think i got rejected?
Has anyone received acceptance into University Scholars yet? Received acceptance into school, then later acceptance into Honors Program and then into the BIC, but no word on University Scholars.
@goldenpatch2020 I highly doubt you got rejected. I know some students with awesome numbers that have not heard yet. The common denominator is the advisor they got assigned was different than my sons.
I applied on Oct 21 with a 1490 and still haven’t heard back
I’ve been so caught up with A&M and totally forgot to update Baylor
