Anxiously awaiting prescreens from UMich. Iām thinking weāll hear this week! Also waiting on Eastman. Passed the IU prescreen. Currently, UMich is studentās top choice so the waiting is agony. Best of luck!

At UMich, we were told by the studio and the STMD admissions counselor that we should hear back about prescreens before Christmas, so Iām hoping that is true! If not this week, then surely the next?

Hello everyone! I have been here sporadically over the past four years while my daughter has been working on her bachelorās degree, but weāre anxiously waiting for prescreen results this week for her MM applications and I thought Iād pop over here and say hello/see if anyone else is waiting on grad school prescreen results. I will say that itās a little less nerve-wracking this time around, since we know more what to expect, but the anxiety is still creeping up. This board was such a comfort to me four years ago!

Curious about what instrument for your child? Similar schools for mine - voice performance.
Percussion! Iāve heard great things about VP at all of these schools as well, so Iām assuming they all have strong percussion and VP studios. Does your student have a #1 pick at this point? I know mine has UMich at the top of the list.
@TigerLily52 - Congrats to your student for passing the IU prescreen! 
We are also waiting on Eastman. Based on my searches from previous years, it seems we may not hear back until January. But who knows? Itās always a possibility weāll hear before Christmas.
ETA: I wonder if weāll hear from Rice since they are releasing ED today? 
I know itās two separate things, but a mom can hope.

Hi the website still says January - I am hoping earlier though 
My son is also in his fourth year. He will not be applying to grad programs but I am enjoying following along with this yearās talented cohort of musicians/families.
I just wanted to say congratulations on your daughterās four yearsā¦with year one being such a challenge as that first lonely pandemic year. We are so grateful that music is live and jobs/opportunities are available!

Iām going through grad school apps as well! It is definitely less scary than the first time, but the anxiety around prescreens is still strong lol
