You can only go to one school also! So who cares if you do not get into all. But it hurts - you put your whole self into your playing truly!!!
Honestly I think they do this to advertise themselvesâŠ
awesome!! so good to hear - if you know any violinists please let me know. I think she wants to talk to one or two!!!
Thankfully, my daughter handles all things much better than I do as well!
So anyone else waiting for the other half of their UMich decision - it looks like it is today
We know several! Please let me know your daughterâs name and Iâll see if the violinists we know are OK w/ me giving their emails to you; at least two of them study with Andrew Wan and he is apparently amazing.
Waiting for CIM as well⊠Hope they announce today⊠Itâs the last unknown for my son.
Still waiting on Juilliard
Am waiting for UMich for my other son (twin brother) who is pursuing computer science. That decision is supposed to come out this afternoon based on the thread and buttons disappearing.
We are also waiting for CIM.
Peabody results are out - D24 is in
D20 (MM Voice) is in too at Peabody, but the aid package is pretty insulting. @bridgenail hit the nail on the head with the above post.
Got our Jacobs offer a little bit ago! And CCM called saying an offer is coming. Now just waiting on BoCoâŠ
S24 got an email from TIMARA director at Oberlin today basically saying not to worry and the waitlist does move. So hopefully this bodes well.
D24 Voice just got her acceptance to Peabody. I was really surprised about the small size of the financial package - when we were there they made a big deal about how Peabody is now meeting 100% of demonstrated need with no loans.
Then I looked and there was a p.2 on the financial aid award letter and it stated that we had not submitted a completed application for financial aid. We DID. I now have an email and a phone message in to the financial aid office to see if they can sort it out. Fingers crossedâŠ
Nope. Still waiting. My sonâs friend that attends said decisions must come out by today. I donât know how true that is, but thatâs what a current student said. Ugghhhh, this waiting!
IU Jacobs is finally here! Time for the angst of the next phase: decisions.
Is the notification by email?
Yes, from music admissions.
The acceptance email to IU said they would let him know IF he got any merit or financial aid. So I guess it is possible that if he doesnât hear anything he should just assume he did not get any aid? Or do you think they would give him a letter with his cost of attendance and $0 for merit so at least he would have closure? It has been a long wait since he was accepted in FebruaryâŠ
