Did you get an email or did you have to check the portal. His friend got a no yesterday so I don’t know what to think.
Got an email asking him to schedule.
OK, S just got Oberlin email asking him to schedule his audition, but when he clicks through, and the landing page asks him to choose a date from the calendar below, there’s no calendar. Any ideas?
Maybe try a different browser?
S got audition invitations (double bass) for UMich and Oberlin today! After 2 no’s earlier in the week (BU and IU) I had pretty much given up hope. So relieved.
Tried all the computer tricks… both the email and the landing page talk about choosing a date, but also ask you to try your best to attend on the “date above”. He sent an email, who knows when the poor admissions people at the conservatory will have a chance to see it.
We are experiencing the same issues. At this point I assume the problem is on Oberlin’s end. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.
Yay! So glad he got some good news!
Phew! ok sengdahl1, let’s have a cup of tea and chill for a while… uncertainty loves company!
That is what my D did for VP. She did not change the songs. She sang the same ones in the prescreen as the audition. It was a few years ago…so if anyone disagrees that’s fine.
Most schools will let you know their preference. My VP daughter used the same songs for all of her prescreens and auditions.
We were able to schedule for D.
Got CIM and Colburn audition invites!
can you tell me how you scheduled? specifically did a calendar appear after you clicked through to the congrats landing page from the email?
Yes calendar appeared and then I selected month of February and then the day (There are only 4 days for Voice - Feb 8,9,14,15). For each day a number of time slots were shown, with the text “Voice Auditions” to the right. Click on Voice Auditions for the time slot.
For string without pre-screen, when will Peabody send audition schedule invitation?
We are also waiting for Peabody.
(Viola). I have looked online for date…no luck
Feb 17-18 for Viola
If you need any UNT travel tips message me. My son is there. He is not violin but was in Prof Tixier’s ensemble last semester. Loved him
Congratulations to everyone for their prescreen results thus far. And for those still waiting, hang in there. Good things to come!
My MM applicant has what I will call an unofficial prescreen pass from Juilliard as the teacher he would like to study with has emailed my son to set up a lesson/chat next month.
Also a prescreen pass from Shepherd.
Grad school applications are so much less complicated and stressful!
