Good news here too; woke up to a “yes” from Royal College of Music in London. Getting accepted to all 3 from the UK trip far exceeds our expectations. Now we see about US prescreens in the next few days.

It sounds like some heard from MSM pre-screens? Does anyone know if jazz is rolling out, too? They told us 12/21 on tour. And, what about the results from EA Temple auditions? Does anyone know when those traditionally roll out?
I’m wondering if the MSM ones are those guaranteed to get past the prescreen due to winning something like YoungArts. Granted my son is one of those and we haven’t gotten official word that he’s scheduled for his audition, it’s assumed at this point for us.

For Temple EA, I’ve looked back at previous year’s threads, and it would make me guess one day this week. I don’t know if I remember correctly but I feel like the dates from previous years were between the 12-19. So to me that’s one week after the live audition date. So I’m hoping by Friday!

Same here! Unfortunately the date they gave us doesn’t work and isn’t one we selected at all. We now have to see if we can switch to a zoom audition instead. Ugh

It’s not our preferred date either…are you on the 25th? Wondering if they just put jazz on that day only. We requested the following weekend.
They gave us 2/1. I wonder if that’s the only day the Jazz guitar faculty is able to do anything. We’ve seen the audition done so many different ways at different schools so who knows. We will more than likely likely ask to switch to Zoom which is sooooooo not ideal for Jazz because instead of accompaniment he’d have to have a backing track instead.

So the reason why 2/1 doesn’t initially work is because we’ll be traveling home from Detroit the day before after his audition at Michigan State. I was talking to my husband this morning and we are considering switching our flight home to a flight to LAX instead, and then flying home on a red eye on 2/1. My issue with switching to zoom is he loses the advantage of having the jazz rhythm section that they are offering and he’d have to rely on his own technology at home which as we know tech can just sporadically not work. I have the miles to make the switch on flights and I want to give him every advantage possible. I still wish they would have given us the weekend before because this would be a non-issue lol
