Classes challenging enough?

Is my schedule challenging enough! I’m a sophomore in high school and would to challenge myself during my high school career. If you have any tips or advice let me know!

Honors English 10
Etymology
Topics in History
Algebra ll
Chemistry l
Honors Spanish ll
Human Body Systems (PLTW class)
School Services (office cadet)

do you find them challenging? are they considered advanced for your grade (at your school)?

What is the most challenging possible schedule for someone in your grade at your school?

Is it common for high schools to have honors language classes? That sure makes sense. My kids’ HS doesn’t have one, and language is SO boring for them. They hate it.

my school doesn’t have honors languages, and it’s painfully slow…

I WANT TO TAKE ETYMOLOGY! YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LUCKY YOU ARE!!

Anyways, as long as you’re taking the most challenging levels of each class, or that you feel challenged, then I say that you should be fine. Be smart about it…I mean, if you have a hard enough time in non-honors math, then it probably isn’t very wise to switch to advanced math.

But honestly, difficulty is all relative.

Lol, I’ve never even heard of etymology being offered as a college class. That’s kind of awesome.

Thanks for all the answers! By the way, I am in advanced math for my grade. My school doesn’t call math classes “honors math”. If your in algebra 2 as a sophomore, you’re advanced at my school.

I’d also would like to know if my schedule is rigorous for 11th grade.

(Keep in mind: my school only offer 2 AP’s max. to juniors (exceptional Students are allowed 3). They also only offer honor classes for math.)

schedule:

-English 11
-Pre-calculus Honors (Self-study statistics since the school doesnt offer this course)
-Physics
-AP Psychology
-US History (Won’t be allowed into AP since i haven’t done history since 8th grade as i currently attend a school with a british curriculum)
-AP Economics
-Internship Art & Design
-Arabic as a foreign language (intermediate) - compulsory class
