@chucktown19 the Clemson Common Data Set from 2017-2018 indicates that 62% of the students admitted were in the top 10% of their class, and 91% of students admitted were in the top 25% of their class.
It also indicates that 99% of students admitted were in the top 50% of their class, and only 1% admitted was in the bottom 50% of their class.
Hope this helps! You should google “Clemson Common Data Set 2017” to also read about GPA’s and test scores. It’s very helpful!
To those that have received your acceptance, can you post more details - When did you apply, Major, Where you live. My son applied October 20th and still has not heard anything. @ProudDad13@mamawitch
@MomMartha my D has an unweighted GPA of 3.8, weighted GPA 4.35, ACT 32 (superscore 34), about 7 AP classes, lots of EC, NHS. From what I have read throughout these posts the “waves” of acceptances (Nov, Dec, Jan) are for the higher stat kids (not bragging, but it is what it is). I am pretty sure she applied Nov. 1st. We are in NJ and she applied Undecided. I think the large amount of acceptances will still be Feb. 15th so maybe check the hack a bit before that…hope that helps.
SAT - 1420 (630RW 790M)
GPA - 97W (All AP and Honors)
Major - Business
OOS - Maine
Applied - Oct 12
Hack worked - Jan 11
Envelope arrived - Jan 18
Although they say it doesn’t matter when you apply. It’s not a rolling admission. Personally, I think they’d do themselves a favor if they just waited and sent them all at the same time!!
I don’t have scholarship info because my son isn’t home so I haven’t seen inside the envelope yet!
Thank you @sweetfreedom …I’m thinking the class rank will doom her. Everything else meets or exceeds but it seems like they put a huge emphasis on rank
@mamawitch you may already know this, but you won’t know scholarship amount until February.
And along those lines, does anyone know when in February they are going to notify the students of scholarship amounts? I’m also wondering if it will be through the mail.
@MomMartha@ConfidentialUser71@lynbrd1 Just so you know, Assuming you applied by the December priority deadline, when you apply does not have any bearing on when you hear back. The vast majority of letters (I’m guessing about 85% of them) go out the week of February 15th.
My status on the hack finally changed yesterday! My stats are 1400 SAT, 30 ACT, 4.55 weighted GPA, 12/100 class rank and my first choice major was animal and veterinary sciences. Good luck everyone!
