Clemson is clear- their decision is based on the transcript received with your application. I do not think an updated a transcript (if better) will increase scholarship money and or acceptance chances or (if worse) reduce one’s chances of acceptance…unless of course, the student failed courses required for graduation, etc. Even in the case of failures, I think the admission decision is still based on the initial transcript and Clemson would then use the failure clause to reject the student after the fact.
@kgracey17 I called last week to ask about sending in my sons fall transcript and the admissions counselor told me they only look at what is submitted with the application which is transcript through your junior year in most cases. I don’t think it will make a difference.
@4n2yrs remember that the majority - as in 80%-85% - of the application decisions will go out the week of Feb 15th. That includes many that applied in August. When you apply has no bearing on receiving an earlier decision. Higher stat students sometimes hear early. Everyone else hears near that February 15th date. Try to enjoy the next few weeks not to think about.
@4n2yrs @SDC9160 My S applied on August 1st as well. We have not yet heard anything but admissions told us the bulk of the decisions come out on or about the 15th of February. They do not come out in any particular order, but very high stat applicants get notified early.
@pama3115 @4n2yrs I understand that a lot of high stat applicants have been notified early, but I also want to let you know that I have seen a lot of acceptances with stats lower than my son has, and he has not heard yet.
There seems to be a heavy concentration of SC/NC and beyond that, based on just this forum alone, I have really not seen a rhyme or reason.
So, let’s take a breath and try to get through these next few weeks. Good luck to everyone!!!
Have any OOS accepted folks got any info on scholarship amounts? My D was accepted into Nursing back in November and it stated she would receive a scholarship, but no info on how much.
She had a 33ACT, 3.98 UWGPA and multiple AP classes So weighted GPA is something like 4.3.
Been accepted at several other schools (Nova, TCU, Loyola Chicago, Wisc, waiting on Univ of Miami and UCLA) so the $$ could make a big difference
My son applied Aug 1 too…no official decision yet though his hack changed last thursday
Congrats…heres hoping you get the letter soon…I am in NC too…winston-salem
My daughter hasn’t heard anything about OOS scholarship amount. She has also been accepted to nursing.
For those who have worked the hack- what was the time in between when it said unable to determine status to an acceptance?
If you look back at the posts, people seem to notice the log in response changes on the studentonboarding site and then 5-7 days later, they get the letter in the mail.
The website says to expect decisions the week of Feb 15. Feb 11 is the Monday of that week. I guess that means I will start checking the hack non-stop starting on Feb 4.
@toottootfoot
I believe “unable to determine status” is meaningless.
Something like “enter the id from your acceptance package” means you’re accepted. At least that’s what people have observed here. Package comes a week or so after after the error message changes.
I am from NJ…
GPA 93
SAT 1380
Major Undecided
what do you think my chances are
@confidential0405 What is your class rank?
How do we find out? An email, a letter in the mail? I applied EA! Thank
100/365 i go to a tough school
@xn3mom 100/365 I go to a competitive school
@confidential405 I really don’t know. Sorry. Test scores are good, but rank and rigor may hurt some. Wishing you the best!
Have you tried the “hack” yet?? Put your ID# you received after they acknowledged application receipt
